Heavy Putter™ Earns Two "Top Tens" Over Three Week Period on Nationwide

Press Release

South Salem, NY, August 16, 2004 -- Heavy Putter™ has confirmed that its revolutionary new putter technology, which was featured earlier this week on The Golf Channel’s "Champions Tour Learning Center" with Tom Nettles, has earned two recent "top ten" finishes on the PGA’s Nationwide Tour. Heavy Putter™ convert D.J. Trahan earned back-to-back "top tens" at the "Pete Dye West Virginia Classic" and at the "Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open." Trahan also earned his lowest 72-hole totals on the Nationwide this year with the Heavy Putter™ during these two events.

"It’s very rewarding for our putter to earn two strong top ten finishes after such a brief time out on Tour," Heavy Putter president Stephen Boccieri commented. "We knew from extensive testing that our patented ‘heavy’ putter technology works to improve both the stroke and the ball striking of any golfer that uses it. In that sense it’s not surprising to see that D.J. has improved his scoring so effectively. The validation is nice and we expect more and more Tour players to want the edge that the Heavy Putter can provide for them. We are excited by what this technology can bring to the average golfer and are working toward making the Heavy Putter available to the public as soon as we possibly can."

Troy Matteson, who uses the Heavy Putter and has "exempt" status on the 2004 Nationwide Tour added, "I’ve seen a lot of different putters in my years playing competitive amateur and professional golf. The Heavy Putter is the first putter I’ve ever seen that truly can revolutionize putting. It’s like being able to play with a training aid. With a lighter-headed conventional putter, manipulation is always a factor. You can’t avoid it, especially under pressure or when fatigue sets in. With the Heavy Putter, especially once it was specifically fitted for me, I set it up on an appropriate line then I just have to move it. There is never any twisting and my putting has definitely improved. Two days recently I had back-to-back 25 putt rounds. There’s no doubt about it, I make more putts with the Heavy Putter."

The Heavy Putter™ is currently not for sale and will not officially debut until the 2005 PGA Show.

About Heavy Putter™

Heavy Putter™, with its Weight Management System, incorporates a high balance point and interchangeable tip weights to create a customized maximum Moment of Inertia (MOI), increased sweet spot, tighter distance control and improved end over end ball roll. The Heavy Putter™ also positively impacts the putting stroke by engaging the golfer’s large muscles while disengaging the wrists and hands. In its first few weeks of very limited exposure to the various PGA Tours, Heavy Putter™ earned two "top tens" on the PGA Nationwide Tour and numerous requests from many Champions Tour legends. The Heavy Putter™ was featured on The Golf Channel’s "Champions Tour Learing Center" program with host Tom Nettles.
