Ecco Classic Light Golf Shoe

Excluding the people who taunt Colin Montgomerie, strip naked and run around the 18th green at the British Open, and get drunk and roll powercarts into water hazards (I saw you do it, Dave!), the game of golf is all about style and class. And that’s a big reason why many discerning golfers choose ECCO golf shoes.

While ECCO Golf falls in the classier realms of golf companies, these 40-year-old shoemakers (founded in Denmark by the recently deceased Karl Tousbuy) are known the world over for their application of the “comfort is king” philosophy. And that, in fact, is exactly what the company was founded on. Superior fitting shoes that last longer, look better, feel better, stink less, you know the drill. Golfers who don’t play the “cooler full of beer in the back of the cart” game - and prefer sauntering around the links in style – would do well in a pair of ECCOs. Specifically, their Classic Light Model.

For the past five rounds my flippers have thrived in the cozy confines of this finely sculpted, “all-class” shoe. I’d love to chat about the beautiful leather, the shock-absorbing PU material that’s injected into the midsole, the unique fibre system implemented in the inlay sole, and so on and so on. But I won’t. I’ll just say that this is a damn fine shoe that wouldn’t do well in your naked golf league. For more information log onto www.ecco.com. The Classic Light retails for USD $140.
