Triple Crown: Nickent Holds #1 Hybrid Spot on Nationwide Tour

Press Release

October 15, 2004 (City of Industry, CA)- For the third straight week, Nickent is the #1 ranking hybrid on the Nationwide Tour, according to the Darrell Survey club count. Over 50 players have now put a 3DX Ironwood in their bag in the last nine weeks on the Nationwide Tour.

Twenty-two 3DX Ironwoods are in play at the Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic. In the last 4 weeks, 85 3DX Ironwoods have been put into play, compared to 68 hybrids by the #2 ranking manufacturer and 19 hybrids by the #3 ranking club maker.

Nickent first grabbed the #1 hybrid spot from the world’s largest golf club manufacturer at the Mark Christopher Charity Classic, only six events after the club was introduced to the Nationwide Tour. Nickent successfully defended their newly earned position the following week at the Gila River Classic with 23 3DX Ironwoods in play.

The 3DX’s ascent to #1 marks the first time anyone has ever beaten the previous #1 ranking hybrid in any U.S. professional tour club count.

How did Nickent defeat a giant manufacturer with a stable of paid staff players and virtually unlimited resources? According to the company, the answer is simple: this hybrid is better. Nationwide Tour players are choosing to use the 3DX Ironwood for no compensation because they know the 3DX can take their game to the next level.

“No matter what your next level is, replacing your long irons with the 3DX Ironwood will help you get there,” said Nickent Director of Marketing Jon Claffey. “The performance benefits of this club are second to none and the Tour acceptance the 3DX has established in such a short period of time shows why it is the new King of Hybrids™.”

“The 3DX has 17 hybrid lofts to custom fit all of your needs, so it is much like the wedge system, but only with hybrids,” said Claffey. “This allows the golfer to get the right distance control and trajectory, which truly makes the 3DX Ironwood a multi-purpose scoring club.”
