AccuFLEX Golf's "ICON" and "ICON Tour Prototype" Shafts To Be Used by Zoran Zorkic Press Release
The AccuFLEX Golf (www.accuflexgolf.com) shaft
company earned its first PGA Tour victory one year ago this week at the 2002
SAS Carolina Classic. Defending champion Zoran Zorkic earned his first
victory at this event as well and the long time mini-Tour journeyman drove
away from the Raleigh, North Carolina tournament with a two-year Nationwide
Tour exemption. Zorkic sited the "backbone" of AccuFLEX's ICON shaft as the
key to its performance. The AccuFLEX ICON shaft earned victories on the 2002
PGA and Nationwide Tours and the company's ICON v.2 earned a victory on the
PGA Champions Tour in 2003. Company officials anticipate that Zorkic will use
both the ICON and the heavier ICON Tour Prototype at this weekend's event.
