Finally a User Friendly Pocket-Guide on the Rules of Golf for Use on the Course

Press Release

Have you ever been on the course, hit an errant shot and been stuck thinking what exactly should I do? Have you ever been playing in a tournament and had a partner question how to replay a shot ... you aren't sure you agree, but you don't know the rules well enough to challenge them? Finally there is a user friendly pocket-sized booklet on the rules of golf called "Golf Rules Quick Reference Stroke Play Guide" for the golfers reference.

Not knowing the rules when playing golf can make or break your game. In fact, the USGA estimates that 85 percent of golfers, including pros, bend the rules. A reason could be that the official USGA Golf Rules Book is over 200 pages of legalese and deciphering the "rights" and "wrongs" can be time consuming.

The "Golf Rules Quick Reference Stroke Play Guide," is the answer to on course rules, questions and situations. The Guide was voted second best new product at the 2004 PGA Merchandise Show! The most common situations and relief procedures are easily explained with illustrations in order that the correct procedure is visible at a glance and that you do not have to spend time reading. The practical flipbook has tabs on its side that help you to find the answer to your questions quickly, it is laminated and fits in every pocket.

"Knowing the rules of golf gives players a competitive edge," says Yves Ton-That, author of the "Golf Rules Quick Reference Stroke Play Guide," and an international rules official. "By taking this book with you on the course, you will eliminate questionable calls quickly and easily so that play can continue without disruption." Ton-That, who has published six books on golf, including four books on the rules of the game says that "the Guide will help players gain better knowledge of the rules and can help them to save up to five strokes a round."

Included in the "Golf Rules Quick Reference Stroke Play Guide" are:

* A clear explanation of how to use the quick reference guide

* 35 full-color easy to comprehend illustrations

* Rules explained in the order in which the golfer plays -- from tee to green

* Using everyday English and based on common situations

* It includes all the relief procedures which can help you to save strokes

* The Guide conforms to the official rules as published by the USGA for the years 2004-2007
