Cobra Golf Announces Introduction of King Cobra Inner Mallet Putter Line

Carlsbad, CA (December 14, 2004) – Building upon its reputation for driver and iron innovation, Cobra Golf introduces its new two-model Inner Mallet (IM) putter family. The unique putters feature a patent-pending “Inner Mallet” design which focuses visual attention on the smaller Inner Mallet for superior alignment. With the new large mallet IM-01 and mid-mallet IM-02 putters, Cobra is staying true to its blueprint for success of making the game more enjoyable for golfers by offering quality, performance and innovative technology-based products.

The IM line brings Cobra technology to the forefront of the expanding category of large mallet, alignment putters.”

The body of the King Cobra IM putter is constructed with 100 percent forged 6061 soft alloy aluminum and features a milled face for soft feel and a true, consistent roll. The oversized-Inner Mallet IM-01 measures 3.86 inches from heel to toe with a head depth of 3.64 inches, while the mid-Inner Mallet IM-01 measures 3.86 inches from heel to toe with a head depth of 3.07 inches. The combination of a modified semicircular shape and tungsten (304T in IM-02) weight insert, positions the center of gravity location low in the back of the putters, producing a high moment of inertia (MOI) and large sweet zone for greater accuracy, feedback and distance control.

IM putters feature a True Temper “IM Double Bend” shaft to provide a face balanced design for enhanced stability. A soft, 45-durometer grip offers superior feel. An anodized two-tone finish gives a clean, confident look at address and reduces glare. The IM-01 and IM-02 putters feature 3 degrees of loft, 70 degrees of lie and are available in lengths of 34 and 35 inches.
