Hidden Links Golf Guide To Scotland and Ireland (2-Disc DVD Set)
Andrew Penner
Going to the UK to play links golf can be a pant-wetting experience. Generally, these Guinness-filled golf-a-thons are exceedingly memorable. But not always. If you’re not careful in your planning, things can go sour. Not every hotel across the pond is rodent-free. Not every links course is worth your time. My advice? Order Hidden Links’ DVD Golf Guides to Scotland and Ireland. Then sit back, relax, grab a pint, and enjoy the show.
Hidden Links, Inc. - based in Roswell, GA and one of the leading tour operators for links golf experiences – has, perhaps, the finest whistle-wetting product out there when it comes to planning your UK golf trip. These two DVDs, which are hosted by legendary golf commentator Renton Laidlaw, contain over three hours of information (including 100 courses) on every golf-rich region in Scotland and Ireland. Not only that, Renton takes you through many of the top hotels, B & Bs, whiskey distilleries, castles, and eating establishments – the extras that always seem to make or break your golf vacation.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching – and listening – to these great DVDs. Renton is a true master with speech and the script is extremely well written. Also, much of the filming was done during early mornings and late evenings, making for great lighting and wonderful pictures. But be ye warned: after watching these self-guided DVDs you’ll probably chug-a-lug the rest of your Guinness and make a mad dash to Dublin. www.hiddenlinksgolf.com. DVD set retails for $40.
