Accumade Introduces new BL line of Steel Iron Shafts

Press Release

Posted 2005-01-12

Accumade introduces the world’s first Neutralized (Spine Alignment) and Flex Matched (takes Frequency Matching to the Nth degree) shafts available for purchase to Custom Club Builders and OEM’s. “Custom Club Builders have long known the benefits of ‘Spining’ shafts since Ko Watanabe and Irv Schloss introduced this concept to club builders over 25 years ago,” remarks David Bechtel (CEO), “but it has always been a labor intensive and relatively expensive process. Accumade has solved this problem, while cutting the price to less than half that of its nearest competitor (under $2.50 per shaft) and slashing the process time to just seconds per shaft as compared to minutes per shaft to “PEAK” or “PURE” your shafts. Now club builders of any size can incorporate these benefits into their production process.”

The key to the whole process is the USGA approved visible “Neutraliztion Marks”. Accumade Inc. is the ONLY company to receive approval from the USGA to visibly mark the shaft and head for the negative effects of the spine. USGA Decision: 2001-625 - Date January 18, 2002 This doesn’t even count the fact that Accumade additionally matches each shaft into sets (of the users defined size) by its true flex characteristics. This yields 10 times greater consistency from shaft to shaft within a set over Frequency Matching today.

Accumade is also introducing its first line of Steel Iron shafts in the Accumade BL. A 125 gram shaft with a combination R/S flex and a .370 tip diameter. A far superior shaft to any Steel Shaft on the market. Each shaft comes Pre-Neutralized and Flex Matched into sets of the club builders defined size, (7,8,9,etc.) No-longer will a Customer Club Builder need to spend the hours “Spining” and “Frequency Matching” shafts for their customers.

As a secondary benefit, the Accumade process even allows Custom Club Builders to begin “dialing-in” sets for their customers based on the golfers swing speed. Today, sets are generalized to cover 10-15 mph swing speed differences within flexes. (R,S,X,etc) Accumade allows the Custom Club Builder to fine tune the fitting process. In addition, for the first time ever, when a golfer breaks a shaft, the shaft can be replaced with the same shaft flex characteristics by simply referencing the Flex Weight number off each unique identification sticker located under the grip.

Accumade Inc was formed in 2000 as a Custom Club Building tool manfucturer. Its debut product, 3-D Measuring System was a “New Product Showcase Winner” in the inaugural “New Product Showcase” at the 2001 PGA Merchandise Show. Accumade now specializes in high quality/low priced shafts for Custom Club Builders and OEMS. Accumade can also perform the Neutralization and Flex Matching service on all makes and models of pre-cut shafts, steel or graphite, irons or woods.
