MacGregor Has Four New Products On Golf Digest's Hot List

Albany, GA – MacGregor Golf’s advanced technology and superior performance/playability is recognized in Golf Digest’s 2005 Hot List, a comprehensive review of the latest golf equipment. MacGregor’s V-FOIL GT putter, V-FOIL TOUR wedges, V-FOIL M675 irons and V-FOIL M565 irons all received "Recommended" ratings by Golf Digest’s judges and panelists.

MacGregor highlights on Golf Digest’s Hot List include:

V-FOIL M675 Irons

• Earned the highest rank in the Performance/Playability and Personal Preference categories

• Golf Digest said: "A combination of the classic MacGregor forged-iron feel and V-FOIL SPEED technology provides a forgiving blade that has our panelists calling it: ‘A real find’."

V-FOIL M565 Irons

• Scored highest in the Performance/Playability category

• Judges said: "There are no complaints about the feel of this club, or its ability to produce good golf shots. And the fact that it’s forged is a nice bonus."

V-FOIL GT Putter

• Earned the highest rank in the Technology/Innovation category

• Panelists said: "It looks like a spaceship, but it does what it says it will. It’s very stable, especially on short putts."

• Judges said: "Bobby Grace takes his revolutionary ideas another step forward."

V-FOIL Tour Wedges • Scored highest in the Performance/Playability category

• Panelists said: "This thing generates tons of spin, so chipping with it was awesome. Plus it played well from the fairway."

• Judges said: "You could scoop a marble out of the Sahara with this club. The company has taken steps to deliver a player’s wedge capable of competing in the category."

MacGregor will introduce its MACTEC NVG drivers and fairway woods, V-FOIL M675 irons, V-FOIL M565 irons, V-FOIL Tour wedges, and V-FOIL EZ OUT wedges at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, later this month. Shipments to leading off-course retailers and green grass pro shops will begin in February with full distribution by April. The V-FOIL GT putter designed by Bobby Grace debuted in September 2004 and won the 2004 Valero Texas Open in that same month. Overall, MacGregor’s Bobby Grace putters racked up 13 wins and over $22 million in prize money worldwide in 2004.
