r7 quad the No. 1 Driver at the Mercedes Championships

TaylorMade's r7 quad driver picked up in 2005 where it left off in 2004: As the No. 1 driver model on the PGA Tour. In fact, the r7 quad was more than the No. 1 driver model at last week's Mercedes Championships, it was No. 1 driver, period, with 10 in play compared to five each for the two closest competitors. Of the 31-player field, a total of 11 played a TaylorMade branded driver. Likewise, TaylorMade tied for No. 1 in fairway woods with 13 in play, seven of which were V Steel. The winner wore adidas Z Traxion Tour footwear.

Sergio Garcia debuted adidas Golf's new Tour Metal shoe this week, the first time this great-looking new model has been worn on the PGA Tour. The Tour Metal will be available at retail in April, and is one of several new adidas Golf shoes that we'll be seeing on tour this year.

Finally, congratulations to all members of TaylorMade's Tour Staff who competed in this prestigious tournament, in which invitations are issued only to players who won at least one PGA Tour event during the previous year: Retief Goosen, Sergio Garcia, Todd Hamilton, Fred Funk, Mike Weir, Joey Sindelar and Brent Geiberger.
