CARLSBAD, CA, – Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) will debut an exciting lineup of new products at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show. The complete lineup includes:

• Big Bertha® Titanium 454 Driver – The largest head and hottest face of any conforming Callaway Golf driver combine to make this the best performing titanium driver in the Company’s history. Long drive professional David Mobley used a pre-release model to win the RE/MAX® World Long Drive Championship® and earn this driver the moniker, “World’s Longest Driver.”

• Big Bertha Fusion® Irons – Truly unique three-piece design with Fusion Technology is getting rave reviews. A newly created alloy called Tunite™ moves 77% of the head’s mass to the perimeter, a shock-absorbing, sound-dampening insert called SenSert™ radically improves feel and a super-light titanium face combines to give Fusion universal appeal: low handicappers love the feel, performance and thin top line; higher handicappers are sold on forgiveness, stability and length.

• X-18® Series Irons – Long a favorite of the broadest spectrum of golfers, the X-Series ranks among the best-selling irons ever since introduction in 1996. The X-18 and X-18 Pro Series Irons continue the legacy with core technologies that deliver exceptional performance, plus a deeper 360-degree undercut for increased perimeter weighting, accentuated notch weighting for more forgiveness and a full-cavity medallion for even more solid feel. More traditional head size and shape and high-polish finish make the X-18 another winner in the long X-Series tradition.

• X-Tour Irons – Pro tours the world over have been abuzz with rumors of the new forged Callaway Golf X-Tour Irons. Now they’re here and will soon be available everywhere to golfers who settle for nothing but the best. Already tour-proven by Phil Mickelson in his spectacular round of 59 to win the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the X-Tour Iron is an exquisite two-piece construction of forged carbon steel featuring Callaway’s Extreme Notch Weighting and 360° undercut channel.

• Big Bertha Heavenwood® Hybrids – Raising the bar for an entire category of golf clubs, this new line of hybrid clubs combines the accuracy and control of a long iron with the distance and trajectory of a fairway wood. The new Heavenwood Hybrids, featuring the legendary forgiveness of Big Bertha® golf clubs, take the fear out of long shots.

• HX® Hot Golf Ball – There’s hot, and then there’s HX Hot, Callaway Golf's blisteringly long three-piece distance ball at a two-piece price point. HX Hot is everything the name implies – blazingly fast off the clubface – and long, long, long. A new fast core, soft, resilient boundary layer and hot cover with HEX Aerodynamics combine in a unique golf ball that’s all about speed.

• i-trax®™ Putters – An inertial mallet putter, the new i-trax Putter from Callaway Golf focuses on balance and alignment, giving the most-oft used club in the bag a big advantage over the competition. A precision machined aluminum head combines with triangulated, plated brass weight screws to provide balanced feel and a smooth, skid-free roll. Two interchangeable, i-trax vision strips allow you to choose the alignment configuration that best suits your eyes, helping you easily square your putter to the target time and again.

• Odyssey® White Steel™ Putter – The #1 putter in golf, Odyssey continues to drive technology and innovation with its new White Steel™ insert technology. The White Steel line features proprietary Dual Insert Technology, wherein the soft, responsive feel of Odyssey’s White Hot polymer insert technology meets the precision and pleasing sound of milled stainless steel. White Steel technology takes the science of putting to a whole new level, lifting your game with it.

Every new club offering from Callaway Golf is being used at the professional level on at least one of the six major worldwide tours, either by Callaway Golf Staff Professionals or other pros, validating the technology, craftsmanship and playability of products bearing the name of Callaway Golf.

Of these new products, all but the i-trax Putter and X-Tour Irons have begun shipping to retail accounts. All the new products displayed in Orlando are expected to be available at retail over the next several months.
