Cleveland Golf Introduces New Products for 2005

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA... Cleveland Golf is proud to introduce new products due for release at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show, in Orlando, FL., January 27th.
Launcher® Comp Fairway Woods: These new fairway woods are made with an ultra-lightweight tri-ply carbon-fiber crown which allows for redistribution of weight to lower and deeper locations around the clubhead perimeter. This redistribution of weight reduces the center of gravity (CG) height and moves the CG further away from the face to produce higher launch angles with less backspin for a more penetrating ball flight. This same weight redistribution also allows for additional weighting to critical perimeter areas, dramatically increasing moment of inertia (MOI) or resistance to twisting on off-center shots. The MSRP on the Launcher Comp fairway woods is $479 and they will begin shipping on February 15, 2005.
HALO™ Utility Club: This breakthrough utility club was designed with a larger sweet spot making it much easier to hit than traditional long-irons. This club’s higher MOI and lower CG allow for maximum forgiveness on off-center shots while also creating higher launch angles and added spin for those long approach shots that require a soft landing. Made with a 17-4 stainless steel body and a 455 Custom Carpenter Steel face, the Halo’s MSRP is $191 for graphite and $150 for the steel-shafted model. The Halo is scheduled to begin shipping February 1, 2005.
CG2® Irons: These new irons were specifically designed for the avid golfer and are ideal for the low to mid-handicapper searching for a club with the forgiveness of a cavity-back and the workability of a blade. These perimeter-weighted irons, made from Carbon Metal Matrix (CMM), have a small cavity-back design which offers increased control along with added forgiveness. The design of the CG2’s combined with revolutionary low-density properties of CMM have helped engineers at Cleveland Golf create irons with both increased MOI for extra stability at impact as well as a lower and deeper CG which helps promote a higher ball flight. The density relieving spheres within CMM also help dramatically damp vibration making the CG2 irons one of the most forgiving and solid feeling irons available on the market. The MSRP on the CG2 irons is $999 and they will begin shipping on February 1, 2005.
