Cutter & Buck Goes Aspen Extreme

As a typical burb-living, two-kids-at-home, middle (actually, at the moment, low) income North American male, I have my favorite brands. For my feet I put my trust – and bunions – in Hush Puppies. When I need wheels, I call on GM. For toys (for my boys) I go to Fisher Price. When I need a computer screen to bang my head into, I choose Hewlett Packard. And, thanks to their excellent craftsmanship, I go to Cutter & Buck for my fleece.
Actually, I go to Cutter & Buck for more than fleece, which I find to be extra good. But Cutter & Buck, a public company that’s based in Seattle, is founded on solid American values and always seems to be the right choice if quality melts your butter. The company, one of the largest and most influential in the golf apparel market, continuously redefines and sets the standard in the soft goods segment.
I recently picked up a Cutter & Buck Aspen Fleece Vest and, not surprisingly, have been exceedingly pleased with the garment. This vest, style #9696, is incredibly soft (100% polyester fleece), super-comfortable, and nicely cut. The features include: windbreak chinguard, drawcord hem, zip pockets, stretch binding at armholes, distinctive red C & B zipper pulls, and red C & B embroidery at the back of the collar. It’s available in three colors: black, tan, and regatta blue.
As most burb-dwelling husbands can tell you, when the opportunity arises to peg up a Titleist (yes, my favorite ball brand), saying no because of cool weather is unthinkable. When golfing with my C & B Aspen Fleece Vest, I feel free enough to make my best move. And that makes all the difference to me. So, sure as Fruit of the Loom is covering my “essentials,” Cutter & Buck will make my fleece. www.cutterbuck.com. Aspen Fleece Vests retail for $70.
