TaylorMade: 171 Consecutive PGA Tour Events at No. 1 Driver*

At last week's Masters Tournament TaylorMade crushed the competition in the driver count, extending our streak to 171 consecutive wins.* Additionally, the r7 quad held fast to its position as the No. 1 driver model on the PGA Tour with its 15 th win in as many attempts.

TaylorMade also ranked No. 1 in the fairway wood and hybrid categories, and finished No. 2 in irons with 15 sets in play. Although officially TaylorMade ranked No. 2 in irons, more players under the age of 60 used TaylorMade irons. While the brand that finished first led the count with 17 sets of irons in play, three of those participants were past champions aged 63, 68 and 68, and a fourth is 53.

Finally, hats off to TaylorMade Tour Staff professionals Retief Goosen and Mike Weir for finishing T3rd and T5th, respectively.

Congratulations to TaylorMade Tour Staff Professional Robert-Jan Derksen on his triumph at the Madeira Island Open. The 31-year-old Dutchman rolled in a 15-foot putt for a dramatic birdie on the 72nd hole to take the lead for the first time and earn his second victory on the European Tour, along with the 2003 Dubai Desert Classic. The win elevated him to 33rd on the Order of Merit, and made him the first player from the Netherlands to win more than once on the European Tour. In his bag: TaylorMade r7 quad driver, TaylorMade Tour Rescue 3-wood, Maxfli irons. He wore adidas Z-Traxion footwear.

TaylorMade drivers were triumphant as well dominating the count for the 11 th time in 11 events in 2005. Nearly half the field (72/156) teed up TaylorMade drivers. Fifty-five of the 72 TaylorMade drivers were r7 quads, which beat the nearest competitor's total driver count by 10. That's the ninth straight event at which the r7 quad has accomplished this feat.

Six of the top 10 finishers used a TaylorMade driver.
