Bettinardi Golf Records First Nationwide Tour Victory

The Nationwide tour was thrown a left-handed curve this week when Monday qualifier Eric Axley powered by his Bettinardi BB-8 won the Rex Hospital Open. Axley who was making just his sixth start on the Nationwide tour took control of the tournament by being the only player in the field to shoot 4 rounds under 70. Axley led the field in putting for the tournament with impressive putting averaging only 26.8 putts per round.

The left hander has won twice on the Hooters tour but said that this is his biggest victory to date and is looking forward to playing the Nationwide Tour on a regular basis, with this victory Axley receives a 2 year exemption on the Nationwide Tour.
