Callaway Golf Apparel Announces Release of Its Expanded Technical Performance Offering for Spring 2007

Ashworth, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASHW), a leading designer of golf-inspired lifestyle sportswear, today announced the Spring 2007 debut of an exciting array of new product releases for Callaway Golf apparel. The Tour Authentic(TM) bottoms program and the X-Series(TM) Performance Center will be presented to the golf industry, including leading PGA golf professionals throughout the U.S., with first product deliveries arriving in stores by December 2006.
The New Tour Authentic(TM) Pant and Short
Introducing the next generation of core-spun technology ... Callaway Golf apparel is proud to present the Tour Authentic pant and short for Spring 2007. The Tour Authentic bottoms program will be announced to over 3,500 select accounts throughout the U.S. in a custom Callaway Golf mailer providing product information and an actual fabric swatch attached to the inside of the mailer. "The innovation is in the performance of the fabric combined with luxurious comfort. We felt it was important and unique to include a fabric swatch in the mailer, so each recipient can have the opportunity to experience the texture, weight and finish of this amazing new bottoms fabrication. The higher-end market is clearly missing a luxury performance bottom that better clubs and resorts can offer with the fine knitwear they currently offer to their members and guests," said Gary Sims, EVP Sales & Marketing.

Utilizing a high-tech manufacturing process that wraps a 100% long staple cotton fiber around a high performance micro-fiber polyester core, this fabrication has all of the great characteristics of a synthetic but retains all of the comfort of 100% cotton. The added ingredient is a touch of spandex that gives the garment the true 'comfort performance' feature. The fabric resists shrinkage, naturally retains its shape, provides stretch versatility and gives the wearer a bottom that is truly easy-care ... the perfect traveler's pant."
The X-Series(TM) Performance Center
In June 2006, the Callaway Golf Company unveiled the exciting new Ely Callaway Performance Center. The state-of-the-art golf research and fitting facility is named after Callaway Golf's late founder and will carry on his passionate pursuit of technological breakthroughs in the design, creation and custom fitting of golf clubs and golf balls for golfers of all skill levels.
In the Spring of 2007, Callaway Golf apparel will expand its current X-Series offering under the new Callaway Golf Performance Center umbrella. "This is a great way to bring together the outstanding breakthroughs in hard goods innovation with the advancements of the highly technical X-Series performance apparel line. The X-Series Performance Center line focuses solely on products that are designed and engineered with the core golfer in mind for protection against all elements. The design direction is intended to be ageless. Customers from 18 yrs. to 65 yrs. old are particularly enthusiastic about X-Series," commented Steve Pena.
