Former Clemson University star wins wire to wire in Mississippi earning a two-year exemption and a $540,000 first-place check. The champion birdied the par five 532 yard 18th hole by going for the green over water all three times in the playoff to secure his first win on Tour. Sonartec had provided the winner and a limited number of PGA TOUR pros, including this year's winner of the Buick Championship in Hartford, CT, with the new 2007 model. "It's great to have two wins with a new club right out of the box," said Bob Gotfredson, Sonartec Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "People on tour think this might be the best fairway metal we have ever developed, which is saying a great deal," said Gotfredson. The GS Tour will be introduced in January and will be powered by the new Graphite Design Red Ice shaft. The combination of the GS Tour head and the Red Ice shaft technology promote a higher-launch, lower-spin ball flight without sacrificing distance. Sonartec continues to lead the industry in fairway metal technology.

Sonartec is a Carlsbad-based pioneer in the fairway metal and hybrid market, and has recently introduced the classic forged t35 model wedge with Yoyo Grooves™. Their innovative Driving Cavity technology produces extremely forgiving, high performance equipment designed for golfers of all skill levels including women and seniors. In less than six years the company has recorded more than 89 worldwide wins, including two British Opens. For more information on Sonartec and their products please visit www.sonartec.com.
