MOI Isn't Just for Drivers Anymore - Introducing the Bazooka GeoMax; the widest sole, highest MOI iron in golf. Press Release
The new Bazooka GeoMax irons from Tour Edge are putting the golf industry on notice that a high moment of inertia (MOI) isn't just for drivers. High MOI (the club's ability to resist twisting) drivers have proved invaluable at keeping the ball in the fairway and providing long, accurate drives. Now, that same high MOI found in drivers is making its way to irons.Tour Edge's high-tech, game improvement GeoMax iron is the widest soled, highest MOI iron available in golf according to David Glod, president and founder of Tour Edge Golf. "This club oozes forgiveness. Just one look and you can see the game improvement features that help lower your score."
The GeoMax looks like a cavity back iron on steroids, says Glod. The club's sole is up to an inch and a half wide for an extremely low and deep center of gravity (CG) and an MOI that is higher than any iron on the market and even some hybrids. The deep CG is enhanced by two 15-gram tungsten screw weights in the heel and toe that increase forgiveness and MOI. The screw placement turns the entire face of the GeoMax into one large sweet spot to help every shot - even miss-hits - fly farther and more accurate than any other iron.
For "sweet-feeling" contact and outstanding responsiveness, the GeoMax has a super-sized, hollow, perimeter weighted cavity. The cavity features a Thermal Plastic Elastomer (TPE) coating that minimizes vibration for a great, soft feel on every hit.
Equipped with an ultra-hot face, the GeoMax boasts a 2.2mm face thickness that helps trampoline the ball for longer shots. The hybrid-like stainless steel body and super-thin face make hitting straight and accurate shots from the even the thickest rough easier.
The GeoMax irons come standard in a Grafalloy GeoMax graphite shaft and Precision steel. For more information visit www.touredge.com or call Tour Edge at (800) 515-3343.
