Tocare Golf Grips come in a good variety of colors and styles. One nice bonus is that you can get a matching putter grip to go with all your other clubs. I tested the half cord Tocare Grip and matching putter grip. The ones I tested are two tone, black upper cord section with a red lower section. You can also get the grip in all black,, black/yellow, black/blue, black/grey, or black/pink for the lady golfer. If you like a half cord grip or prefer a one piece style, you can find what you want in a Tocare Grip.

HOW IT WORKS

The grips are built with VDP Technology. Hundred of small diamonds are built into the core of the grop to help eliminate unwanted vibration and provide a more comfortable grip. Inside the grip, where it contacts the shaft, are all these small grooves cut away. What is left are small diamond that contact the shaft. All these little pockets of air, help eliminate vibrations, and make for a softer feel, without any lose of control. Some of the softer grips on the market, may feel nice and soft, but you give up some control with that softness, not the case with the VDP technology. This VDP technology will decrease unwanted vibrations from 25 % to an amazing 95 %, depending on the type of grip you have now. Compared to the other multi-material grips on the market, expect a reduction of 53 %. That’s a lot a difference. Consider this, graphite shaft reduce vibrations about 65 % compared to steel. Imagine getting the same kind of vibration reduction for your steel shaft clubs just be replacing the grip.

WHAT IT’S GOOD FOR

The whole idea of any grip, no matter the make or style, is to provide you with a solid grip on your clubs. The Tocare Grips are made with stare of the art rubber compounds for extraordinary wet and dry performance while maintaining a traditional feel. Milti-Durometer, and Muiti-Commpound technologies are bonded together for great feel and performance. The firmer upper section for the grip helps eliminate excessive grip pressure. The softer lower section is easy on your hands. For those of you that have ever hit the ball thin, and had a nasty stinging vibration shoot up your arm, you will love the way the VDP technology cuts down on that stringing sensation.

If you decide to go with the half-cord design, I think you will find the Tocare grip to be the equal of any of the other half-cord grips on the market. Both in looks and performance. With the choices of color, you shouldn’t have any problems finding one to suit your taste. As for performance, the half cord upper section provides plenty of purchase on your club. No need to worry about your hand slipping on a wet day, as the cord provides all the extra purchase you will ever need. And the soft lower section is easy on you fingers, so you have the best of both worlds.

Quality couldn’t be better. All of the grips I tested were weighed on a components scale and all of them were within one gram of each other. I’ve been using these grips for four months now, and they are as good as new. No signs of wear at all. It has been my experience that a lot of the grips that come on OEM clubs don’t last very look. It seems that they become somewhat slippery after only a few weeks of play. This is not the case with Tocare grips. With a little soap and water clean up once in awhile, I see no reason you shouldn’t get a few years wear out of a set. I do a lot of practice at the range, more practice time than playing time, and I believe this set of grips will last at least 2 years for me, if not a lot longer.

For those of you that need new grips, you might want to try installing a set of Tocare Grips. Installation couldn’t be easier. Whether you use grip tape and solvent, or blow on the grips with compressed air, installation is pretty easy. I didn’t have a single problem installing my set. If you’ve never replaced your own grips, it might not hurt to read up on grip installation, but I doubt you’d have any problems installing Tocare Grips.

WHY YOU NEED ONE

One of the most important aspects of golf, is a proper grip of the club. Without that, you’re never going to learn to play this crazy game very well. And a worn or poor quality grip will not let you make a good grip on your club. Once a grip is worn out, it looses its ability to allow you to get a good purchase on the club, and you have to increase your grip pressure. This is the last thing you want to do, increase your grip pressure. The idea is to use the least pressure as you can, and not have the club fly out of your hands. Remember, the only contact you have with your club, is your hands on the grip. You want and need the best, most solid contact you can get, with the least amount of grip pressure. If the club slips even the smallest amount, you’ll never be able to hit consistently good shots. The only way to achieve this, is with a good quality grip. One that isn’t worn out or dirty. As I mentioned above, it’s been my experience that the grips that come on most golf clubs don’t last very long. I’ve had to replace some in as little 3 weeks. That’s not very long, and if you play and practice very much, it might be even less. If I had to pick the worst thing about factory made golf clubs, it would be the quality of the grips. And I’m not alone on this, as I’ve read a lot of club reviews that mention that the grip need to replaced with an after market grip. So, if you are in the market for a new set of grip, or maybe just one on that new driver, check out TocareGolf.com and see if you can find a grip that suits your eye and style of play. I think you’ll find that Tocare Grips are some of the best grips on the market, with a style that will fit your game. I’ve installed a lot of grips over the years, and the Tocare half –cord grips I’m using now are as good as any I’ve ever used. This is a fairly new product, so you might not be able to find them at every golf shop. Visit their website and check them out before you buy just any old grip. I think you’ll find it worth your time.
