CHAMP Spikes Goes Global With Four Weekend Wins Press Release
CHAMP
Spikes dominated this weekend's golf events as
the winners of The Memorial on the PGA Tour,
The LPGA's Ginn Tribute, The Wales Open on
the European Tour and the Aurora Health Care
Championship on the Duramed Futures Tour all
chose CHAMP spikes for their traction needs.
On the PGA Tour the story was one that has
been heard before, CHAMP Stinger™ on the
shoes of the winner, who opted to remove the
spikes that came in his shoes as original
equipment in favor of the new and improved
CHAMP Stinger. The CHAMP Stinger was
improved this year to provide more traction and
stability to golfers looking for superior all
around performance from their spikes. An
astounding 72% of the players who chose
CHAMP switched from the original spikes that
came in their shoes.
It was another tournament victory for CHAMP Stinger at The Ginn Tribute hosted by
Annika. While it took one extra hole to decide the winner, it didn't take any extra time for
75% of the players to choose CHAMP Stinger over the spikes that originally came in
their shoes. A staggering 56% of the entire field decided to go with CHAMP for their
traction needs.
It was all about CHAMP at the Wales Open this weekend as CHAMP'S traditional metal
Cermec® spike provided the winning traction for the champion. The numbers continue to
be impressive as CHAMP's Stinger led the field with 64 players. Of the 101 players,
including the top seven finishers, an overwhelming 65% chose CHAMP.
On the Duramed Futures Tour, Mindy Kim won her second consecutive tournament,
firing a final round of 1-over-par 73 on Sunday. She posted a three-day total of 3-underpar
213. All of the top 10 finishers sported CHAMP spikes.
"Each week the greatest golfers in the world trust CHAMP Spikes, as they are proven to
provide the best traction available on the market," said Harris MacNeill, President of
CHAMP. "To be there at the end of a tournament, on Sunday, when it really counts,
when one shot can mean so much, CHAMP spikes have been the overwhelming choice.
All you have to do is look at the winners each week and they have one thing in common,
CHAMP."
CHAMP spikes have been worn by the winners on the PGA or LPGA Tour for the last 12
weeks. CHAMP spikes have been worn by the winners of 15 of 23 PGA events, nine of
15 events on the LPGA Tour and all the events on The Duramed Futures Tour.
