Aldila’s VooDoo Propels Nationwide Tour Winner to Victory Press Release
Using the patent
pending S-core Technology™ of the Aldila’s
new VooDoo shaft in his driver, the winner of
the Xerox Classic in Rochester, N.Y. captured
his first career Nationwide Tour title. He finished
with a 13-under 267 to win by four strokes. “What sets the VooDoo apart from other
shafts is our patent pending S-core
Technology™, which is designed to increase
distance and provide outstanding accuracy with
each swing,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s
Marketing Manager. “The real ‘magic” of the
VooDoo is the high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft that increases hoop
strength/stiffness. It makes the shaft 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60
percent greater than competitors’ attempts at cross-sectional stabilization.”
With six combined wins on the PGA, Nationwide and European PGA Tours, anxious consumers
can soon experience the stability, accuracy and increased distance of the VooDoo. Starting Sept. 1
Aldila will begin shipping the VooDoo through its distribution network of leading club builders and will
include it in several major manufacturer’s club introductions this fall.
On the PGA Tour, the winner of the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, N.C. used Aldila’s
NV® shaft to help him card a 21-under 259. The win moved him up 45 spots in the FedExCup standings
and helped secure his place in the playoffs, which start this week at The Barclays.
Aldila has the unique ability to define the intangibles of the game of golf. To translate numbers
into theory, theory into practice, and practice into perfection. They do the experimenting so you don’t
have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or
just graphite?
