San Diego Golf Academy Changes Name to Reflect Stellar Growth

Press Release

The name San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA) is synonymous with state-of-the-art education for students wishing to get jobs in golf, a $76 billion industry. Due to strong enrollment growth and planned expansion, SDGA will now be known as the Golf Academy of America.

Golf Academy of America President Chris Hunkler says, "Since starting in San Diego, SDGA has opened campuses in Phoenix, Orlando, and Myrtle Beach. Our enrollment has boomed and we will be expanding to other golf-friendly markets. We are committed to and are very proud of our new facility in San Diego, but we saw the need to modify our name to reflect our growth in both geography and number of students."

The name change, to Golf Academy of America, reflects the school's position as the leading two-year golf career education-provider in the industry. Golf Academy of America currently has over 1000 students enrolled and awards degrees to hundreds each year. The 16-month program offers graduates a curriculum that prepares them for a variety of positions in the golf business. Golf Academy of America has more than 6,600 graduates in its 30-year history.
