AccuFLEX Golf Adds "ICON v.3" To Its "ICON" Series Shaft Line

Press Release

AccuFLEX Golf (www.accuflexgolf.com) announced that it has finished the design phase of a new addition to its very successful ICON shaft line. The ICON v.3 will enable golfers looking for more carry on their ball flight to benefit from an ICON series shaft. The ICON shafts that have gained victories on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours are lower torqued, higher bend point models meant for use by lower-handicap golfers. The ICON v.3 features a mid-low bend point and a torque of 4.5 degrees. AccuFLEX Golf stated that it has moved up the introduction of the ICON v.3 in an effort to allow more golfers to experience the performance benefits of its ICON line. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds of all sales of both the new ICON v.3 and the ICON v.2 will benefit The Bruce Edwards Trust.

"The ICON v.3 will enable golfers looking for a higher launch angle and more carry to experience the benefits of an AccuFLEX ICON series shaft," AccuFLEX Sales and Marketing Director Steve Zunich stated. "The ICON v.2 is intended for use by Tour quality or lower handicap golfers. With its mid-low kick point, lighter weight and more generous torque, the addition ICON v.3 opens up the possibility that pretty much any golfer will be able to be fit into an ICON series shaft. Although we offer a full array of shafts that cover the entire pricing spectrum, many of our dealers currently feature us as their premium shaft line and several offer our ICON series exclusively due to its performance and high class look. The v.3 should help us get more shafts into the drivers and fairway woods of a wider variety of golfer."

The ICON v.3 will feature the distinctive black logo section of the rest of the ICON series but will be distinguished by the chrome red color that adorns the rest of the shaft. AccuFLEX Golf is currently pre-booking orders for the ICON v.3's anticipated shipment date of June 16th, which is when the first run of ICON v.3 is expected to come out of production.
