Hit Down Dammit! Golf DVD Series Released

VANCOUVER, Jan. 9 - The new DVD version of “Hit Down Dammit!” has been released to the public. This DVD teaches golfers both the concept and technique of hitting down at the golf ball for optimum ball striking, and was inspired by the popularity of the book of the same name.

“The single most common mistake I see by golfers when I teach is their failure to hit down at the ball. And what is most surprising is how few golfers even know they are supposed to hit down to get the ball in the air” says Teaching Professional Clive Scarff, the book’s author, and presenter on the DVD.

The DVD is broken down into several 2-5 minute, easy to understand, chapters covering all the aspects of hitting down, and the golf swing in general. The viewer can watch the entire DVD, or key in on particular areas of interest.

In particular Hit Down Dammit! endeavours to debunk many common golf myths, such as fear of lifting your head. “Almost never have I seen a bad shot caused by someone lifting their head,” claims Scarff. “However, I have seen too many poor shots caused by hitting up at the golf ball. Hitting up causes you to lift your head. Learn to hit down and you will instinctively keep your head down,” he says.

Three other DVDs are companions to the Hit Down Dammit! DVD. They are “Hitting Down & The Short Game,” “Hit Down Drills,” and “Hit Down Fun-dam-entals”

“Together the four DVDs give any golfer all the tools to learn the game, or go out and break 80,” says Scarff. “After that, it’s all about putting!” he adds.

The Hit Down Dammit! DVD was shot in high definition by “Sanders Video” at Glen Abbey Golf Club, home to the 2008 and 2009 Canadian Open. Pro Clive Scarff has been teaching and writing about golf since 1994.
