Jim Furyk and Big Ben Prove to be a Winning Combination

Press Release

Jim Furyk has won $1,360,000.00 in just 3 tournaments since adding the Big Ben prototype putter to his bag. The Big Ben putter is a Ben Hogan by Bettinardi putter made by Master Craftsman Robert J. Bettinardi. Furyk put the new putter in his bag on the Wednesday of U.S. Open week and used it throughout the championship, which he won by tying the all-time U.S. Open scoring record.

Hogan released the original model of the Big Ben, which is part of its Ben Hogan by Bettinardi collection of putters, at the PGA Merchandise Show in January. Furyk then spent three months working with members of the Ben Hogan/Bettinardi team making final adjustments to the heel-shafted version.

Furyk's new favorite features the identical hourglass shape and alignment style of the original Big Ben, along with a seven-point sole and face-balanced design. It is milled from a solid block of aluminum, and its Bee Hive Center Cavity allows for 38 percent of the head weight is in the rear of the putter providing for easy acceleration through the hitting area.
