adidas Golf Incorporates ClimaCoolŪ in Fall Footwear Lines

Press Release

adidas Golf is integrating adidas' ClimaCool technology into several models of its high performance footwear scheduled for launch this fall. ClimaCool is an advanced footwear technology engineered to keep the athlete cool via a sophisticated ventilation system for maximum breathability and cooling. adidas, parent company of adidas Golf, introduced ClimaCool two years ago in its running, tennis and basketball footwear.

ClimaCool provides the ultimate in internal climate control in footwear via a series of ducts, vents and perforations that work in conjunction with smooth, highly breathable linings which enhance airflow and moisture wicking while reducing frictional heat.

In addition, adidas Golf incorporates a variety of other design elements that aid in reducing heat within the shoe, including:

vented TPU chassis open mesh tongue for breathability open cell padding and breathable air-mesh (instead of padding foam) for better heat emission perforated heel counter for optimal airflow limited adhesives for enhanced breathability and moisture management perforated footbed for optimal air transfer vented Torsion System for breathability Four models will be available:

ClimaCool Men's, in three colors (white/graphite/black, black/black, white/navy/black), MSRP $100. ClimaCool Slingback Men's, in one color (pale gray/graphite), MSRP $80. ClimaCool Women's, in two colors (white/helio blue, white/Bordeaux/aluminum), MSRP $100. ClimaCool Slingback Women's, in one color (spray/light gray), MSRP $80. "The reception and success of ClimaCool in adidas' running, tennis and basketball footwear has been outstanding. adidas Golf's use of ClimaCool marks the first comprehensive approach to cooling the foot in golf footwear, and we're pleased to make it available to athletes who seek every possible advantage on the golf course," says Paul Clark, General Manager, adidas Golf.
