DUNLOP AND DUPONT COLLABORATE TO LAUNCH NEW LOCO BITE
Press Release

On the heels of the highly successful launches of the original LoCo golf ball and new LoCo driver, Dunlop continues the momentum in 2003, with the introduction of the new high spin LoCo Bite. Set to debut in early April, the new entry into the hot Low Compression ball category represents a
high tech collaboration between the global sports brand and worldwide innovation giant DuPont.
LoCo Bite features an all-new SpinFlex™ cover material made with DuPont’s HPF polymer. This new cover, combined with Dunlop’s own leading edge core technology, gives LoCo Bite the green-holding
spin that better golfers demand, as well as an unmistakably softer feel for iron play and putting. Like its predecessor, LoCo Bite is engineered for noticeably longer distance off the tee.
“LoCo seemed to strike a chord among golfers looking for exceptional distance and great feel at a price well under twenty dollars,” said Dunlop vice president/marketing Shane Duffy. “With the LoCo name, packaging and reputation now well established, we expect LoCo Bite to have instant appeal to a certain
kind of golfer who favors a low compression, high spin ball, and wants it at a great price.”
LoCo Bite SRP will be set at $16.95. The new packaging again will feature the off-beat graphics and vivid colors that captured consumer attention when LoCo was introduced in spring 2002. Among the world’s best-known sport brands for over 90 years, Dunlop has earned a reputation for
incorporating leading edge technology into high quality products designed for the golf enthusiast. The brand’s U.S. headquarters, as well as its world-class golf ball research and manufacturing facility, are
located in Greenville, South Carolina.
