Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) started the 2003 Champions Tour season on a victorious note yesterday, as the winner of the MasterCard Championship used 14 of the Company's golf clubs. The eight-time senior champion used Callaway Golf's new Great Big Bertha(R) II Titanium Driver, along with a Big Bertha(R) Steelhead(TM) III 7-wood, Steelhead X-14(TM) Irons, a pair of Callaway Golf(R) Forged Wedges and an Odyssey(R) Putter.

The 55-year-old winner shot three rounds in the 60s to post a 18-under-par score of 198 and earn a two-stroke margin of victory at Hualalai Resort Golf Club in Hawaii. "Every part of my game is clicking," said the tournament winner, who earned a career-best $250,000 first-place check. "I'm putting better than ever. I'm dedicating myself this season to becoming one of the best putters out here. I felt when I came out here I'd be ready to play, and I was."

Three of the top-10 finishers at the MasterCard Championship used Great Big Bertha II Titanium Drivers. That includes Callaway Golf Staff Professional Bruce Fleisher, who used a Great Big Bertha II Pro Series Titanium Driver to finish tied for seventh.
