Alpha Golf announced today that Greg "Way Long" Wellong has joined the company’s team of Professional Long Drivers. Wellong will hit the company’s 425 cc Alpha version 2 driver at the 2003 ReMax World Long Drive Championship, which is to be held in two weeks at The Palms Golf Club in Mesquite, Nevada. Wellong, who took fifth place at last years championship, had an outstanding 2003 LDA Tour season and is currently in third place on the LDA Money Leaders List and is the fourth ranked Long Driver in the worl d. Greg Wellong has won LDA Tour events in Atlanta, Georgia in both 2002 and 2003 and is a force to be reckoned with in any tournament he enters. Wellong joins a team of converts that includes the reigning ReMax World Long Drive Men’s Open Division Champion Carl Wolter and former ReMax Champion Viktor Johansson.

"I am very happy to have found what I think is exactly the right driver for me," Wellong related. "I am hitting the ball straighter and farther with the ‘Alpha version 2’ driver than I ever have. The ReMax World Long Drive Championship will be held in Mesquite, Nevada from October 14th through October 18th and will be shown on ESPN in December.
