C830-2 drivers were used to take first and second place at last weekend's
"Cotton Patch Classic" pro long drive tournament, which was held in Byron, Georgia. Kevin Bullard earned his first professional long drive victory against one of the most competitive fields of the pro long drive season. David Mobley, one of
long drive's most consistent competitors, used his C830-2 to take second
place. Alpha's new C830-2 is the hottest new driver on the professional long drive
circuit. More and more of long drive's best are switching to the Alpha C830-2
as word of the performance of its Increased Target Design (ITD) gets around.
The one-two punch delivered by Bullard and Mobley in Georgia should encourage
more and more long drivers to start using Alpha products.
"Our congratulations go out to Kevin Bullard and David Mobley for their
outstanding performances last weekend," Alpha Golf president Jim Yeh began. "When
we introduced the new C830-2 just before the ReMax World Long Drive
Championships last month, we believed that we had something that would give competitors
using our product a distinct performance advantage. The Increased Target Design
of our products is truly making an improvement in the performance of the long
drivers that choose to use our products. The number of competitors using our
drivers, and the results they are achieving, speak for themselves."
The "Cotton Patch Classic" is a tune-up for the season-ending Long Drivers of
America (LDA) "Tour Championship" which is to be held this Saturday, November
8th in Dallas, Texas. Alpha Golf long drive team captain Vince Howell will
defend his LDA Tour Championship title at the event. Howell will be competing
against fellow Alpha Golf teammates Kevin Bullard, Greg Wellong and former ReMax
World Long Drive Champion Carl Wolter in the men's open division of the LDA
Dallas event. Eric Jones and Kurt Moore will hit Alpha drivers in the men's
senior division while former LPGA touring pro Sally Dee will represent Alpha Golf
in the women's open division.
