Maxfli Introduces Noodle Spin Golf Ball

Maxfli Introduces Noodle Spin Golf Ball

Press Release

Posted 2003-03-11

In response to the success of its Noodle golf ball, which is both long and soft, Maxfli has introduced the Noodle Spin, which combines those same qualities while also offering significantly more spin.

The key to the Noodle Spin's exceptional combination of distance, feel and spin lies in the properties of the mid-compression core and the softer cover, and the manner in which these two elements interact at impact. Specifically, the Noodle Spin delivers significantly more spin and softer feel (5 Shore D points less than the Noodle), with minimal compromise in distance.

The Noodle Spin and Noodle will share the same new, updated package design and stamping, as well as the same spokesperson, Gary McCord, who will be featured on the packaging and other marketing materials for both models.

"The Noodle Spin is a great option for players who desire the long, soft qualities of the original Noodle, but also want added spin," says Merle Marting, vice president, product marketing and brand creation.

The Noodle Spin will begin shipping to retailers on March 15, and carries an MSRP of $25 per dozen, with an expected street retail price of $20 per dozen, the same as the Noodle.

The Noodle, currently the best-selling $20 price-point golf ball (according to Golf Datatech/November 2002 report), is one of the most popular golf balls in Maxfli's long history, and was honored last year as Golfweek's "Golf Ball of the Year"; with Golfweb's "Gold Tee" trophy as one of the year's best new equipment introductions; and with Pro Golf of America, Inc.'s product of the year award.
