Quick Take Review: Golf Slippers

Andrew Penner

There’s nothing better than getting up on a cool Saturday morning, slipping on the cleats, and hitting the dew-covered links with a gaggle of fun-loving buddies. Quite hatefully, however, the duties of life sometimes have a way of, well, getting in the way. Fortunately, on mornings when you’ve got to give your ringleader the “no can do” speech, you can still slip on a pair of booties that will keep your toes cozy, warm, and in tune with the greatest game on earth.

Complete with mock “no slip” rubber cleats, kiltie, and a classic black/white wing tip design, these slippers are about as comfortable as slippers get. While the soft polyester fabric and foam make for a stride that’s pleasing on the feet – and they certainly take some of the “I-missed-my-tee-time” pain away – there was still, in my case anyway, some residual angst hanging over me knowing that I really wasn’t where I wanted to be. Naturally, however, like a man’s favorite pair of boxers, I have grown into my pair quite nicely.

Golf Slippers make for a unique gift, a nice conversational piece at parties, and are perfect for that extra-special, hard-core golf freak. Which begs the question, why, exactly, did I get my pair? Golf Slippers are available online for $22.97 at Innovativegolfgear.com.
