Picked up a Sunday Bag

Well..not entirely sure why but I did...our home course just finished their Par 3 renovation and we played it twice and one things that's not great is there is no where to really keep your clubs whne not in use on the shots.  Now I usually need a putter and 1 wedge but still I don't like laying them on the ground.  Anyway..bought the basic one with Legs from Orilmar off Amazon for $33.  Have a golf trip coming up Wed and part of that is a fun time around a Par 3 for an afternoon.  So again didn't want to deal with laying them down and such.   Took this out Saturday.  usually I use a push cart but I wanted to see if I used just about 6 or so clubs, how would I feel after using this.   It has a nice handle to carry it with in hand or a basic shoudler strap to use.  Alland all I'd rate it a A- .  I knew it didn't have enough pokcets.  But pockets would let me add things and add weight. And figuring after adding some attachable pocket carriers, I'd be fine.  One thing I didn't want to do was eek up into $75 range like I'm buying a full bag!    So I went cheap and basic and all and all it did exceptional.

Specs said I probably could get 4-6 clubs in the bag.  I think I can get 8-9 in depending on what frustration level I want getting them out.  6 easy.  7-8 generally OK.  Biggest thing was the one pocket I used to hold golf balls and tees would not fit my phone period.  I don't like being without my phone when my kids are home alone.  So I attached a little bag to the side and put that phone there.   The issue then was that the hung in the way of the retractable stand legs.  So I had to fiddle with that.  But in terms of use, featrure and did it work, absolutely.  I would see now some saturdays when only playing 9, this is a little easier than lugging the push cart up and down some of those hills.  So now I may return this one and buy the next model up with more pockets.   But I di have to be careful on the weather.  Not much room for a dry layer or unbrella in this bag.

But this also forces me not to carry 20 golf balls 5 million tees..3 cans of beer...etc.  :)

good deal

Scott - even if you only use it sporadically (in warmer weather), sound like a good deal. Michael found a fairly new Taylormade driver head (9.5 deg) on the course a couple of weeks ago, he took it along with a shaft from the basement and had our guy fix it up. He's trying to get his son into playing (his son's girlfriend used to play a lot) so he figured he'd give it to him just to whack away.

DON
Can't say that I have EVER

Can't say that I have EVER found a driver head on the course before. LOTS of golf balls lost by other golfer and one of mine that I had lost a few weeks back one time. But never a driver head. Good luck to him with the club when he gets it built up. He should try it out before he gives it away just to see if it works well.

Yep, someone snapped the head

Yep, someone snapped the head off their club and either they left it in disgust or maybe lost sight of it as it went flying. Michael did try it when he picked it up at the range, didn't work that well for him (he likes his current driver) so he's putting it aside for his son.

DON
Can't complain about a free

Can't complain about a free driver head found on the course. NO matter what you paid to get a shaft installed in it, , you could say you came out aHEAD on the deal. Do you remember what model it was? If it's a recent model it should be worth a fair amount. MY favorite might just be the old R7 with the interchangable weights in the sole of the head. NO hosel adapters and NO turning the shaft in the head to adjust loft or lie. Sometimes SIMPLE is better.

Don, it is one of the more recent models, so he definitely came out aHEAD!
