Talormade Project(a) golf balls

Found one a few weeks back and played it today.  I really like that ball.  Good distance, soft feel.  If I found a good deal on them, they're a tour quality ball, I'd buy a dozen.  not that I need any golf balls though but we'll see..

I've always liked the

I've always liked the TaylorMade golf balls. The old MaxFli tour balls made by TM were excellent, as are the Penta balls. Too be honest, I can't tell much difference between ANY of the major brand tour balls. They all feel good off the face of the club, they previde high spin numbers, and the distance is good with all of them. Some Scuff Up more than other, but that's about the only big difference I find in them.

You know Don I think you're

You know Don I think you're right.  I've hit great shots with the Project(a) and ProV1s and Srixon...I guess from what I read the Project(a) are supposed to be today's "spin" ball, spinning more than the Tour models.   Distance wise I hit a couple drives 290+ so I can't say it's not long.

Tour ball ALL about Equal I think

I know that Titleist likes to say how the ProV1 and V1X are the leading ball played on Tour by a large margin, and it's true for sure. But when so many top golfers  on Tour are playing other balls, it kind of stands to reason that the other top balls are just as good as the ProV1. I doubt Rory is playing the Nike tour ball these days because it's worse than the Titleist balls.

Same for drivers on Tour. We all know TaylorMade is the # one driver on tour, but that doesn't not stop guys like Phil from winning with a Callaway driver, nor Bubba from winning using a Ping driver. Bottom line is that ALL of the top OEM's are makeing good balls and good clubs these day, and NONE of them are way ahead to fhe field in terms of proformance. Sales YES, but performance NO.
