2009 Hendricks Renovation on 2009-09-16 wrote the following regarding Hendricks Field Golf Course:

If you ask any Northern NJ golfer what's the worst course they've ever played, most will say Hendricks. Up until recently the course has always had poor tee boxes, burnt fairways and severe drainage problems. As of September 2009 all of this has started to change. A recent renovation has seen improvements to the drainage problem, renovated tee boxes and some clever repositioning of fairway bunkers. While this has done little to change to culture of the course it has made a casual round of golf more tolerable. Living less than five minutes from the course I have found the course to be, "better than before." It still ranks poorly compared to municipal courses in other parts of the state but the recent renovation coupled with the recent appointment of a new superintendent seem promising.
