Fees and Costs: It was $17 for 9 holes with cart. Golfer History: I've played for 10 years. My strength is my iron play. My weaknesses, and there are many more than this, are primarily inconsistency with my driver and putting. I guess getting out of traps is another challenge, and occasional decision making issues. Like trying to force a bad shot. Pros: Gorgeous landscape. The layout of this course features some really pretty holes and elevation changes. The greens actually were in pretty good shape I thought. Cons: The cart paths are downright dangerous in some places, but only if you're not extremely careful. If you just go slow, you will be fine. It sort of feels like you're four wheeling between holes. They should get mini BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's for the carts and just make that a fun feature. Also, the rough is primarily homegrown Western PA grass. Clovers everywhere, etc. This makes for somewhat forgiving play when you hit out of the fairway, not like some other local courses like Cranberry Highlands down the road. Worth It? Very much so. For the price, you can't beat it. 19th Hole? The restaurant / pub was really nice. Sort of a log cabin / lodge feel to it. Nice little bar with great beer selection and really good food for decent prices. We were really pleased. Summary: Overall this was a great experience. I was at Strawberry Ridge about 5 years ago. Sent as a joke from a friend who was local to the area. The owners were just digging this thing out of the hillsides at that time so it was basically a cow pasture. It's amazing what the guy has been able to accomplish in a few years. I think in 5 to 10 years this could really be one of the best places to play in the area. Great value!

Played this with our friends, a couple that lives right down the road from Strawberry Ridge. I had heard of this place a long time ago, but that it was basically a cow-path with potential if the guy ever finished. Well, let me tell you, he did - and it's a REALLY nice little public course. Kudos to the owners on this one for having a dream and making it happen.

Just a fantastic course. Honestly, it would be a decent deal at double the price. (30 with cart). NOt super-long, but set up to bring every club into play and plenty long on the par fives. The fairways are tight and the rough, barely forgiving enough. Staff are very knowledgeable and polite. Sometimes you find a course that challenges you and is picturesque and you find it at a great price. For me, this was that course.
