It is so funny to see the name of the course as Johnstown Municipal Golf Course because everyone in Johnstown calls it Berkeley Hills or just Berkeley. I really have a sweet spot for this nine hole course. David Gehlman does a wonderful job running the course. I once say someone call Berkeley "a diamond in the rough" and I think that describes the course the best. I have played Berkeley more times than I can count. The staff does the very best that they can do keep the course in shape. The greens are usually in great condition and can rival country clubs. There is no dress code (the main rule is no shirt, no shoes, no service) so you can see just about anything. Also, you can get a lot of beginners so have patience. However, it is a fun course so enjoy!!!!
