On 2008-06-03, 5thmar rated this Lynx LX2 a 5...(8099)

Details: 10.5 degree stiff shaft

Purchase: Bought this club at golfsmith for $90.00 after discount.
Pros: This club is easy to setup. The club face looks square, not overly closed like some clubs. Club is very light. I have hit the longest drives ever with this club but more importantly my fairways hit is 80%. Was hitting less than 30% with a Ping G5. The club has great feel and is not overly loud like some square drivers. This club is a steal for <$100.00.
Cons: There is nothing I don't like about it.
Quality: Quality is good. The shaft is fine, grip is fine. Club head is very light composite.

Review Summary: This club is great, it has improved my game like no other club.

On 2008-05-17, Paul rated this Lynx LX2 a 5...(8083)

Details: 9.5* Loft, Stiff Shaft

Purchase: Golfsmith in Downers Grove, IL. It was marked down to $100 and then got another 20% off with member rewards card. Final Price was $79.99. I got this club, because of the square face and the sheer amount of forgiveness it offered. Usually I struggle at the tee box and either will hit a long drive or fade into the rough. the geometry of the head allowed me to hit straighter in all in store simulations
Pros: Hits the ball long without much loss of accuracy. Forgiving club face coupled with highest legal MOI and 460cc head allows for shot hit off center to still go straight.
Cons: The only thing I do not like it the default shaft that came with the unit is a 55 gram shaft. It just makes me nervous of how sturdy the shaft is.
Quality: Overall the club feels very sold. I already expressed my concerns about the shaft, but it hopefully shouldn't be and issue.

Review Summary: Great club for the money and for sure something that someone with a lower budget should look into. Performance to money spent there may not be a better club on the market.
