Purchase: $20 Pros: Inexpensive, middle of the road golf ball. Good distance and reasonable feel. Cons: Lacks feel of tour quality ball. Quality: Solid quality 2 piece golf ball. Review Summary: This is an inexpensive 2 piece golf ball with good distance and decent feel. Certainly doesn't compare to tour quality balls, but if you shoot in the mid-to-high 80s or worse then it's a good enough ball. On 2005-11-04, Henry rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(6371)
Purchase: Dick's had a buy one Noodle "long and soft" get one Noodle "Rotinni" (with spin) free. $19.99 Pros: Very, very soft. The feel is incredible. In my short time playing I have played Top Flite XL's, Calloway Big Bertha red, Titleist Pro V1, and Pinnacle (cant remember model).
This ball is soft and long just like they advertise. Very good feel. Cons: Nothing Quality: Very good. I tear up Top Flite's for some reason. I scuff them almost every time I hit them.
These hold up very well until I loose them. Review Summary: Very good ball in the low to mid price range. On 2005-08-30, Divot_King rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(6131)
Purchase: Pros: It is a long ball that sticks nicely to the green. It flies high and straight and is one of my personal favorites. Cons: It collects dirt easily. That's about it. Quality: Review Summary: On 2005-08-03, DON rated this Maxfli Noodle a 4...(5993)
Purchase: Got a free sleeve to test for PGA Tour Partners Club. They sell for $20 or so. Pros: Decent distance, but nothing great. Good feel, it's soft enough. Good ball for putting and chipping, soft enough that you don't notice that much difference if you also play a tour quality ball. Cons: Scuffs up more than I would like. More than the M3 Tour I tried and more than the Infinity Buttery feel I'm using now. Not enough spin is you play on firm greens that require spin to hold. Expect the ball to roll forward, not stop where it lands. Quality: The ball scuffs up a little too much, but other than that, it's a good quality ball. Review Summary: This is a good ball, expecially if you don't want to spend $40 to $50 for a tour quality ball. It's a good all around ball for someone wanting something more than the cheap hard balls on the market. Much better than a TF XL, that's for sure. Good distance, soft feel, reasonable durability, and only $20 a dozen. And now that they have a few choices in this ball, you can fine tune your purchase to better fit your game. Purchase: Got a dozen at Sportmart for less than 20 bucks to try a lower cost ball without sacrificing performance. Pros: It has great distance off the tee and I even had a few backspinners on some semi-firm greens. I was impressed to say the least but it gets me thinking, how good can balls get? Maybe there is something better but I am happy with the softer feel of this distance ball. It allows you to drive the energy to the core of the ball, catapulting it further than most of the harder "distance" balls out there. Cons: The cover is a little prone to abuse if you don't strike it correctly or hit a tree or something. It does cut easily. Quality: Overall good quality design with the layers working together to produce feel at impact and delivering good distance too. Review Summary: This ball will enrich your life with longer, straighter drives and help boost confidence around the greens as well. It has good carry as well. It seems to play like a lower compression ball without sacrificing distance. On 2004-10-15, mr. divots rated this Maxfli Noodle a 3...(4625)
Purchase: I found one of these while out on a round. I have dropped my handicap quite a bit over the last 2 years. I now only play urethane-covered balls, their soft covers provide great spin and shot control. Put it into play on a whim. Pros: These have a nice soft feel off irons. You can really feel the core compress (I have a high swing speed.) Driver distance was pretty good, but compared to HX-Tours and Nike Blacks, definitely lacking. Cons: The very thing that makes me dish out the big bucks for urethane balls: short game control and spin, or in this case, the complete lack thereof. Cover also seems to scuff easily from short irons and wedges. Quality: Pretty good, considering I saw these on sale at Golf Galaxy for $9.99/dz currently. Review Summary: It was a fun experiment, but I'm afraid I'm stuck paying the premium for urethane-covered balls. These just can't offer the same control and spin needed for lower handicap players. They have a nice soft, pleasing feel which lower swing speed players will appreciate. A good ball overall, just comes up short in the short game area. Purchase: I paid $18.96 for a box of 12 at walmart. I was told that they were a great ball especially for the price. I played 9 holes with one and hit two of the longest drives for the two holes I play often. I like the click and soft feel of the ball and will try it again next time.
Pros: Nice feel and good distance. Cons: nothing Quality: I only played 9 holes with it but it still looked like new. Review Summary: definately worth a try. I am a 57 year old man with a swing speed of about 100 and I hit the ball pretty good. Usually shoot in the 80's but sometime sneak into the 70's On 2004-03-16, Linda Veights rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(3110)
Purchase: I purchased these NOODLES from the local Dick's Sporting Goods store for $19.99. I like to try a new ball every season and the low compression and more distance caught my eye. Pros: From day one I noticed an increase in my distance off the tee and a more consistent playability. It flies long and putts very softly. Cons: There is not one thing I can complain about with the results of this ball. Quality: The outer shell is a little softer but just about anything scuffs on a cartpath. Again, no complaints. Review Summary: I have been recommending this ball to all my golfing friends. They have witnessed the effect on my game. I ended up being the Club Champion this past season. I went out and bought a new dozen of balls with part of my winnings. I used my noodle! On 2004-02-12, MN_mike rated this Maxfli Noodle a 3...(2803)
Purchase: I found one of these in perfect condition while playing a round. I'm always game to trying new equipment, so I put it into play for the remaining back 9. Pros: The low compression feels good off the club face. Like a superball. It flew high and straight. The price for a box is very reasonable. Cover seems to be pretty durable. Cons: The low comprssion of this ball may be a little too low for some players with a high swing speed. I found that if I cranked up, it added about 10 extra yards on my mid irons into the green. Found myself trying to club down for my approach shots. Chipping these balls offers very little spin to speak of, so plan to play bump 'n runs. Quality: Goods quality for the price. Durability is on par with other balls in this price point. Good soft feel. Review Summary: A good ball overall. Just not enough spin into the greens and for the short game around the green. I am accustomed to playing Titleist ProV1's and Nike TA2 SPN which offer all the spin you can handle. On 2003-09-26, A.K. Akin rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(2390)
Purchase: Purchased at WalMart for $19. Pros: As I move into the more "senior" group of golfers, my swing isn't what it was 25-30 years ago. Using the Noodle, I found my tee shots were noticeably straighter and longer than my standard 90 compression balls. Much more forgiving and stayed in the fairway. Cons: I found nothing not to like. However, the improved tee shots didn't carry over to the middle and short irons. They remained consistent. Quality: Good overall quality was consistent with most other brand name balls. Review Summary: I found a ball that matches my slower, shorter swing and keeps me in the game. This will probably become my ball of choice. On 2003-09-11, Matt rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(2277)
Purchase: I purchased a sleeve of these at my local golf course. I figured 6.00 a sleeve wasnt to bad at our course compared to my usual 11.95 a sleeve for my Pro V1's. Pros: I really like this ball. Its long of the tee with better control than most distance balls. the best thing about it it doesnt feel like a distance ball. Its VERY soft. You get good control with your irons and once again there for nice and soft of the irons. They stop well into the greens. Around the greens and off the putter this is the softest ball I've ever used. I love it. Best part is only 19.99 a dozen for a ball that plays like a $40 a dozen. Cons: Nothing. Awesome ball! Quality: Very well constructed. They last 3-5 rounds a ball for me. Cool design too! Review Summary: The bottom line is if you want a distance ball with better control and super soft feel with shot stopping hits around the green try these! Purchase: Golfsmith $40 for 2 doz. incl. hat Pros: I noticed improved control with the Noodle over my previous ball (Top Flite XL 2000). Whereas the Top Flite flew farther if I hit it right, the Noodle stays on line much better overall so my net distance improved greatly. I use a Odyssey DFX putter and the ball feels really good off the soft face (compared to the Top Flite). Also, the Noodle had much better feel off the irons, from the 3 down to the wedge. Cons: Like many others, this ball will not hold a hard green w/ a long iron shot. Mid and short irons are tricky, I mainly play bump and run with these irons anyway, and it's hard to develop a touch w/ the lively Noodle. With wedge shots I find it holds the green very well (and we have HARD greens where I play). Quality: I've topped/bladed my share of iron shots and have yet to cut one of these. Only scuff problems I've had were the result of trees and cart paths. Review Summary: For a high-handicapper, this is a great ball. A little pricey compared to other balls, but that's market mechanics. Similar distance to the less expensive flying rocks but w/ nice climbing ability and soft touch w/ the putter if you use an insert putter. On 2003-08-25, Kevin rated this Maxfli Noodle a 4...(2165)
Purchase: I purchased these at the ol' local Wal-Mart for like $19.97. I was recommended this ball by a friend. Pros: I love the ball out of the fairway, rough, sand...hell even the trees. My accuracy with this ball has improved tremendously. Cons: I'm not real big on using this ball off the tee-box. I'm not sure why but I don't feel like I get as much distance off the box with this ball vs. a regular Maxfli ball. Quality: FLAWLESS!! Review Summary: GO BEAT EM' WITH YOUR NOODLE!! Purchase: $19.99 Golfsmith Pros: I have used the ProV's and other high priced products and I think that with my slower swing speed (senior golfer), I get better length and better feel with the Maxfli Noodle. It stops on the greens very nicely even with long irons. It is so durable that you can play several rounds with one ball if you want. I have played all different brands and types and I am most pleased with the Maxfli Noodle. My wife also thinks it is the best ball she has ever played. We are playing in a National Tournament and our ball will be the Maxfli Noodle! Cons: There is really nothing I dislike about the Maxfli Noodle. Quality: It is very durable and doesn't scuff easily, of course when you hit the cart path, it will scuff. Review Summary: If you are looking for a softer ball that even the pros are using these days and you like a ball that spins near the green? The Noodle is a great ball for you! Outstanding and very affordable!

Purchase: I found my noodle on a golf course, so it cost me nothing. Pros: I love the distance of the Noodle, it is at least 1 -2 clubs longer than other balls, it get's nice trajectory, and it is soft as well. It holds the greens well, even on the hardest green. A great ball Cons: The only thind I dislike it that all my friends want to try my Noodle ball. Quality: The construction of the ball is A-1, I have played about 5 rounds so far with the ball, and it still looks as good as when I found it. Review Summary: Bottom Line: A great ball, it has great length, feel, and a great price for the ball that you are getting. On 2003-03-21, W. Warren Basher rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(1030)
Purchase: As a late life beginner to the game at 44 I am always looking for equiptment taylored for slower swing speeds, and increased distance. I picked up the Noddle at Dick's Sporting Goods when it was a test market item. It even contained a consumer reveiw sheet, which I never filled out. The price was in the range I find acceptable, $19.95 I lose balls to often to buy "premium priced" balls. Since then I have purchased Noodles for
as much as $7.50 a sleeve in Pro shops, but normally purchase at a chain retailer, Target, Dick's etc. for around $20.00. Pros: The Noodle has lived up to it's promises. As much of this game is mental, feeling secure about your equiptment buys strokes and I feel much more confident when playing the Noodle. I have hit the Noodle in conjuction with many other brands and types of balls and I hit it (the Noodle) consistantly longer then any ball I've tried, including the premium price models. I also feel my shots fly straighter, and roll further then with other balls I've used. I like the very soft feel, Driving, and particularly around the greens and when putting. Cons: I glad to see that Maxfli has introduced the Noodle "spin" and am looking forward to trying it. The only complaint I have had about the original Noodle is a lack of stopping power on the greens. Lob shots and short chips stop pretty well, with-in the limits of my game level, but the same roll that pays dividends off the tees and on the fairways can hurt on the long approach shot. If I get aggessive to the green I have had balls roll off the back side. I feel that this has something to do with my skill level, 3 wood shots roll. Quality: The Noodle has been a very durable ball particularly for as soft as the ball plays. The cover holds up well enough to the rigors of the course that I often play more then one round with the same ball before retiring it to the shag bag. Review Summary: I have been very pleased with the Noodle, with the exception of it's ability to lock up on the greens on the long approch. It putts extremly well, has good feel, and is long and striaght of the tees. I have compared it to the Loco, Lady, Laddie, and numerous other balls, and the Noodle has remained the ball I play. I feel more confident whed I look down and see the Noodle. On 2002-11-20, Don Ralston rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(812)
Purchase: My son is a golf pro. He uses the prov1. While in Los Vages playing in a tour event , he was given a dozen balls with a funny name (noodles), he tried them and was pleased. He brought them home and told me he thought they would be a great addition to my game. Well he was right,,,as he always is with golf and I have played them ever seens with excellent results. Now my foursome plays the ball with the funny name and we all are better golfers, HAIL THE NOODLE. Pros: The Noodle SAYS IT ALL,,,LONG and SOFT. Cons: My friends and I all agree,,,there is nothing wrong with this ball , everything is A-OK Quality: A one piece ball that gives the performence and looks of a ball costing many dollors more. Review Summary: After playing the NOODLE all season long , my golf buddies and I WILL PLAY NO OTHER BALL..Why should we when we get very good distance from the tee and play ability around the green,,,and price,,,you could not beat the price with a stick...NO THIS IS THE BEST OF THE BEST BALLS EVER FOR THE MONEY. We tried it and love it, we think you will also. On 2002-11-19, M Coughlin rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(806)
Purchase: I was turned on to the Noodle by a co-worker. This was a good 6 months ago. I had only been playing Callaway, but I'm a convert - plus at less than $20 a doz, it save me some dollars to spend with the cart girl ;^) Pros: Great feel and distance off the tee. Not super long, but it makes up for this in consistency and awesome feel on and around the green.
I've dropped 6 strokes in the last year, from 21 to 15 handicap. I have chaned only three things in my game - I bought a lob wedge, I bought a new Callaway 3+ Steelhead plus, and moved to the Noodle. The combo has made for lots more fun on the course. Cons: More people are playing them now, the secret's out! Quality: Can handle the occasional scully and tree clank, but - well, as least as far as I can tell, it's true on the green and hasa soft (not squishy) feel. Don't pay an extra $20 for the Pro-V, or the Callaway HEX - it just aint worth it! Review Summary: If you know me- give me a box of Noodles for X-Mas! Purchase: Purchased 24 pack at a retail store for $40,and they came with a free hat. Pros: I liked the softness of the ball with short irons and around the green. Cons: They were way to spongy feeling of the tee and with long irons. They were around 15 yards shorter than my usual ball a titlist profesional 100. Quality: The ball was pretty soft and easy to scuff up and cut. Review Summary: The ball is not very long, but it is nice on shots 150to100 yards. It is OK on the green, but not great. It would be an OK ball for someone with a lower swingspeed, but if you like to hit it long this ball isn't for you. On 2002-11-15, Steve rated this Maxfli Noodle a 3...(794)
Purchase: I first bought these at a golf show Pros: Awsome distance and high flight patterns. Cons: Won't hold a firm green and when chipping the ball shoots off the face of the club. Quality: good construction and quality. Review Summary: Good ball on soft greens or wet days.20 more yards on dry fairways but trouble around greens. Purchase: A friend gave me sleeve of these balls....after trying them out, i was blown away by it's performance!!! I used to buy new balls for around $10-$15 for 15 balls...but after getting hooked on the noodle i didnt mind paying the $20 for a dozen!! i get them at any local golf shop. Pros: The noodle is an amazing ball. First of all, i am a recreational golfer who looks for distance from a ball, but all the other balls in the market are either too hard(but are cheap) or too expensive(for the good ones)! The noodle is long of the tee and stops on and around the greens!!! they dont scuff and are sturdier than the cheap distance balls out there!!! Cons: NOTHING!!!! Quality: LONG AND SOFT!!! best golf ball for recreational golfers who want the best for their money!!! Review Summary: ITS THE BOMB!!! Purchase: I read about the Noodle golf ball in a golf magazine. I immediately went to my Country club pro shop and asked about them.
The pro said I was the 3rd. person to ask about the Noodle that day. He had already ordered some so I reserved a dozen.
I picked up the balls a few days later and started using them. They have great distance and feel great.
My nickname is Noodle so I claim they are prsonalized. I paid 24.95 at country club pro shop. Pros: Great distance and excellent feel. Cons: All good. No negative factors. Quality: Solid one piece ball. Review Summary: Great Ball for a reasonable price. On 2002-09-29, Dale (noodle) Newell rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(628)
Purchase: I read about the noodle golf ball in a golf magazine. I imediately went to my country club pro shop. The pro advised that I was the third person to inquire about the noodle and he some on order. I ordered a dozen and picked them up a few days later.
The first time out I noticed increased distance and soft feel.
My nicknme is noodle so the name is personalized on the golf ball.
I paid 24.95 per dozen and have been using them every since. Pros: Good distance and great feel Cons: I don't have any negative comments Quality: 2 piece surlyn covered ball Review Summary: With a name like noodle it has to be great. On 2002-09-13, highendman rated this Maxfli Noodle a 4...(536)
Purchase: I picked up a sleeve of these at a local golf shop for $4.99. I was curious after reading the reviews and have never hit a low compression ball before. Pros: This ball is very long off the irons -- maybe even a whole club. You can mishit the ball and it still goes. I really like the soft feel. My playing partners where bragging about driving over a creek off the tee. It was only about a 230yd carry and it was downwind. I pulled out a Noodle, tossed it on the deck and smoked a 3 iron past their tee shots. I thought I could clear, but had no idea how long this ball is. Cons: It flies a little high for me. It doesn't hold the greens too well and runs when you chip the ball. The feel off the putter is lively too, which I'm not quite used to. Quality: This is a 2 piece low compression ball of first rate quality. Supposedly, it's a 55 compression. It's a very bright white which I like as well. I love the name. Review Summary: If you're not playing hard greens and don't mind the lively, non stick qualities around the green, this is a great ball to play. It is very long -- maybe the longest ball I have hit except for shots with my driver. Very high club speed guys might get bigger hits with rocks from Pinnacle, Nike etc. I had fun playing this ball and am going to play it some more. Isn't FUN what it's all about? On 2002-08-30, P.J. Evans rated this Maxfli Noodle a 4...(492)
Purchase: I purchased the Maxfli Noodle's based upon the local golf shop's recommendation. Using their computer-assisted driving range, I found my swing speed to be between 88-92 mph. After watching my friends, I found that my swing speed is on the "low" end. The shop suggested the Noodle would suit my game best. Pros: I was immediately impressed with the distance I gained. Granted, I didn't BOMB every shot, but I did notice an increase in overall distance - as did my friends. I'd say it was between 10-20 yards beyond my "normal" drive. I truly liked the soft feel coming off the irons. It felt firm and solid, but not hard like others I've used. Cons: I've been known to occassionally "kiss" a tree on the flight path to the fairway... this soft feel ball is not the ball to do this with. It didn't wear as well as other "rocks" I've played with before, but the feel was definitely a plus. Quality: These balls are well made, consistent performance on all the balls played. Not very forgiving for tree and cart path shots, but not many good balls are. Review Summary: When I finish playing with a new ball, I ask myself - "will I buy it again?" - and the answer here is a resounding YES. I was very pleased with the distance, while I didn't care for the durability - I do realize that if I could avoid scraping a tree or two, they would last quite a bit longer - so no fault to the ball there. Purchase: Paid around $20 at the local Dick's Sporting Goods for a dozen of these balls. Pros: I like the fact that the ball is soft, but durable and provides a decent amount of distance off the tee. Cons: Being a middle of the range ball, the Noodle doesn't excel in any particular category. I didn't feel I was getting much, if any, extra distance and the spin characterstics were rather dull - but not what you'd buy this ball for. Quality: Solid cover, 2 piece ball. Decent quality, but not the best. Review Summary: If you're looking for a decent ball with average flight characteristics and a relatively soft composure around the greens, give them a try. There's nothing outstanding about this ball, but nothing really to complain about either. On 2002-08-17, Mike Gianetti rated this Maxfli Noodle a 4...(414)
Purchase: I originally purchased one sleeve which lead to a dozen for $23 (including tax)at Geared for Golf in Campbell, CA. I had tested the Noodle against the Calloway 2 piece and the Precept Laddie. The Noodle won hands down. Pros: I like the forgiveness fo the ball. Miss hits don't go wandering in to the next fairway. Distance is grand. The playability of the ball is just awsome. Cons: The feel of the ball off the driver is kind of a thunk.
It does not hav ethe ability to check up on medium to hard greens.
Quality: It is well put together and consistant. Review Summary: I like this ball. I will use it for long courses and slow greens. On 2002-07-19, C. Mitchell rated this Maxfli Noodle a 4...(288)
Purchase: Purchased from GolfDiscount.com for 19.99 a doz plus shipping. Pros: Very long ball with decent feel. I have seen a 15 to 20 yard increase in driving distance since switching to this ball. They carry well and roll forever in the fairway. Cons: The Noodle just does not have the feel and spin to check up on the greens. Even as a high handicap golfer, I like a ball to perform around the green a little better. You just have to learn to play for more roll. Quality: Quality is acceptable. I have scuffed a few with poor shots, but this ball will last if hit well. Review Summary: Great ball for anyone looking for an easy to drive ball that still retains decent feel for your short game. Purchase: I bought a dozen balls costs me $19.99 at the Pro Bass Shop in Springfield, MO.
I purcheased them during a vacation. I had recently read an article about them and
the Dunlop LoCo in the Golf Tips Magazine and was interested in trying out the new
low compression balls since my swing speed is about medium. I tried them out the
next day at a course in Branson, MO. Pros: The ball is long and straight off the tee. I added about 20 extra yards to my drive.
The ball seemed to correct for my slight fade and I didn't miss a single fairway.
Irons were likewise longer and straighter. I ended up having to down club two sizes
to not over fly the greens.
Cons: The Noodle doesn't seem to hold the green on a mid to long iron shot. Quality: Constrution and quality seem top-notch. I've played over 90 holes with one ball and
all it has on it is one scratch mark. Review Summary: I like the Noodle. It's helped my game and I've dropped 3 strokes off my average.
I'll continue to use this ball. On 2002-06-24, PAUL TOMLINSON rated this Maxfli Noodle a 5...(207)
Purchase: I bought the balls at Nevada Bob Golf. Paid $19.97 a dozen. I bought the balls because I heard that they fly staighter and further. Pros: I Like the fact that it added about 30 yards to my drive and about 15 to 20 yards to my iron shots. Cons: There is nothing that I know of that is bad about the ball. Quality: It is a low compression and has a solid core. It has a good feel with the contact of ball and club. Review Summary: This golf ball has changed my game dramaticaly. It is a perfect ball for someone with a high handicap and is priced right.
