Purchase: I paid 400 dollars for this driver. I bought it used from a friend, and I got it because I was told it was good Pros: i like the way that it is forgiving allowing for a maximum distance, and also that it is very easy to hit and belive me you woudnt have any problems with this driver Cons: The shape and how it looks Quality: It is kind of a squared face. I would say that this is a good quality club indeed the best quality club. Review Summary: My overall thoughts on this club are that it was very good easy to hit.

Purchase: I purchased this at Riverside golf centre. I traded in a Taylor made 580 xd and added $150 canadian. Pros: I used to hit a Ti Si tec and I loved it. My a swing speed increased as I improved and instead of re-shafting I stupidly gave it too my Father in law(he now uses it to kick my ass). I tried the 580 xd. It was very lond when I could hit it (rarely). I ran back to ping and the Si3. I love this club. Different than the TiSi tec, but equal in distance. A little better looking than the homely TiSi as well. Something about this club just gives me confidence. I seem to be able to tamper with my swing and still hit decent shots. On bad days I can swing easy and no I will get 240 -250, on great days I can rip away 275-290+. Great club and I also love the headcover, really easy to put on. Cons: I dont like the sound. It has a really wimpy "ping" sound. I know, what a shock. The TiSi was a little better, but I guess it's a ping trademark. The R580 XD had a way better sound, unfortunately it was hard to enjoy as my ball jumped the sliceville express. Quality: As with all Ping products I have seen, this is a top quality unit. I think it exceeds the Taylor made a little in this area. Review Summary: Great club. I hope I can play it enough (second baby comming)to test it's high limits. Purchase: I bought this through a local pro shop . I paid $385 plus tax. Pros: The club instilles confidence as soon as you hold it. I dont think that I have gained any yardage, but I am hitting a whole lot more fairways. Cons: This an awesome club, there is nothing I would change. Quality: Everything is first class as you would expect form Ping, ( or anyone selling drivers at the high resale prices for that matter) Review Summary: Best dirver I have ever hit, great combination of distance and forgiveness. Purchase: Bought online at TheGolfWarehouse.com for $325. My previous driver was the Ping TISI Tec. I was curious to see if Ping's new driver would be an improvement.
Pros: Intitial reaction was that it looks totally different from the TISI Tec. Much more of a traditional shape with a much deeper face. This is by far the lightest clubhead I have ever owned (or swung). The stock Si3 Stiff shaft is an improvement over the previous Ping shafts. I re-shafted my TISI Tec with a UST Proforce 75. I wouldn't re-shaft this Si3 because I would be afraid of not being able to feel the head. I hit my 8.5d TISI Tec quite well with a high trajectory and plenty of carry. However where the TISI Tec had plenty of carry, it would stop dead with little or no roll. The 8d Si3 has a boring trajectory with not as much carry but plenty of roll. The Si3 is longer in this regard. Forgivness and feel is very good. Cons: Initially I didn't like the light feel of this driver. After a few weeks and range time I am quite comfortable with this club. Quality: Construction quality is high. It is nice that there is no paint on the sole area of the club, making it wear much better. Review Summary: The Ping Si3 is staying in the bag. Balls rocket off the face with a nice, low trajectory that I have been searching for. Price is a little steep but I know I'll win a few long drive holes in tourneys w/ this club. Purchase: I bought this club through my club pro. It cost me $160.00 which is an amazing deal since the club sells for about $400 anywhere else. The only Stipulation was his name was etched into the heel of the club, but I filled it in with a black sharpie and you can't even tell it is there. Pros: Awesome club, I have a 8 degree green dot which is 2 degrees up and 1/2 degree closed. I am 6'1" so the upright lie is a great customized option. My natural shot is a draw so I went with the most open face possible. I put a Graffaloy Blue siff shaft in it and can work the ball in any direction. GREAT CLUB! I previously owned a T ISI with a Pro Force Stiff. This New club feels totally different but much more abililty to work the ball. Cons: Only thing to dislike about this club is the weight of the head, way to light. But the ball still jumps off of the face and goes dead straight. Quality: Great looking club. At 340cc the club does not look overwhelmingly huge. It is a very small head with a tall, deep face that is just what low handicappers look for. Review Summary: Great club, bottom line. I am a 1.4 Handicap and previously owned a T ISI and I absoulutly love this new Graffaloy Blue shaft. Absolutely can't miss fairway's with this club and this shaft. A must buy for PING lovers'. If you do buy this club make sure you get the Graffaloy Blue shaft and accept nothing less. It is the hottest thing on the PGA Tour next to the Fujikira. Purchase: I bought it at a golfshop for $400 (though I later saw it for $350 at another). Before buying it, I tried about every driver on the market, Titleist 983 & 975, Taylor Made R500 Series, Callaway Great Big Bertha II. I hadn't heard that great praise of it before I hit it but since I hit by far the best I bought it. Pros: I love, it is very long, very high, and very light. And most importantly very straight with the draw enhanced face, no matter how hard you swing you will be in the fairway. Cons: The shaft options could be a little better, the only factory shaft is a Ping one that's alright but I bet most people would prefer a UST or Fujikura. Quality: It is very high quality that's for sure, just look at the headcover, looks Leather to me. Review Summary: On 2003-04-30, Taylor rated this Ping Si3 a 4...(1227)
Purchase: I haven't paid for this driver yet, but I have put it in my category of drivers that I may buy. I have had a 7 year dormancy from golf. After getting back into it, I decided to try this driver at the radar. I got right around a 100 mph. Excellent feel, very light, didn't think that I would be impressed with it, but was proven wrong. Very forgiving club, very good feel when hitting the ball Pros: Excellent feel, very light, didn't think that I would be impressed with it, but was proven wrong. Very forgiving club, very good feel when hitting the ball. I am still looking for a good driver for me, but this will be in my list of ones to get!
Go buy this one! Cons: The only thing I didnt' like about it is I didn't have the money to buy it and go out to the driving range with it, poor boy that I am. lol Quality: excellent quality, the one I hit had a different shaft on it, dont' know if it was stock or not. Probably the only thing that I didn't like was the price, but other then that Ping has a great club!
Go buy it Review Summary: Overall, great club even for the price, if you can find it a little cheaper it would be better. Excellent forgiveness, straight shots, even heel and toe shots go straight. The weight would probably be the greatest factor in my purchase if I had the money. lol On 2003-04-21, Spencer Adkins rated this Ping Si3 a 5...(1160)
Purchase: I bought it over the internet at tgw.com Pros: It is the best driver I have ever hit. It is super light, forgiving, long, and produces a perfect ball flight. It also feels very nice. Cons: NOTHING Quality: It has a very large and forgiving head. The shaft is very nice and light also. Review Summary: It is an amazing driver, and a must buy.
