Details: DVD 3 part series.

Purchase: Watched the video with a friend who purchased it from TV infomercials.
Pros: A.J. Bonar's ideas set me free. I've always wanted to rip through impact with my right-side and right hand, but that produced big hooks and pulls with the old-school swing I was originally taught. Bonar showed me how to get the clubface open at the top so that I could rotate the face through impact without the pulls and hooks. Fairways and par threes with O.B. on the left don't scare me anymore. Amazingly, Bonar's instruction (unlike others I've had) was so clear and easy to understand that I was able to immediately apply it the next time I played.
Cons: I didn't find anything to complain about.
Quality:

Review Summary: An open minded person can gain valuable insights from the video. I realize a lot of golfers are afraid to tinker with their swing, but if you just watch this and don't try it, you might miss out on some real eye opening experiences the next time you play golf. It is easy to harbor some wrong assumptions about golf, or even to be trained in something that doesn't work for you. A.J. Bonar provides new perspectives for those willing to try to improve, regardless of current skill level.

Purchase: Direct from AJGolf.com
Pros: Not much, except the 30 day MBG. I am out $12.95 for the SandH and the return postage.
Cons: The secret is still a secret, at least to me. The purported secret is learning to flip your wrist at impact. The only drill is practicing flipping your wrist with a remote control (or cell phone) and practicing striking the ball down (steep swing down). Maybe I missed something so I watched the (two) drills over. To be fair I went to the driving range and hit over two hundred balls trying to flip the wrist at the impact zone. For me I didn't experience the revelation. I will agree if I could train myself to flip the wrist at impact I could hit the ball farther and with more accuracy. But that is the secret, and how to do it is not revealed (in my opinion) in this video. If you've seen the infomercial you've about seen it all. Just pactice flipping your wrist at impact. (The club head is a little baseball bat). The short game bonus DVD is more usefull but there is nothing new that is not on many other short game instructional DVD's. Still searching for the secret

Purchase: £32.00 piad for the video set, (5 videos)off e-bay. Great value.
Pros: Good price, Easy to follow instruction by AJ
Cons: The video s have worked fine for me.
Quality: Great quality recordings.

Review Summary: The instruction has greatly improved my distance. Eg 150 yard par 3 at my local golf club, i always used a 7 iron and barely made the front of the green. Since viewing Aj The truth about golf. I hit my 8 iron out the back of the green. The increase in distance is just as it says, Effortless.

Purchase: When I saw this advertised on TV, the Golf Channel, I thought it sounded too good to be true. How can this "not so young" man (AJ Bonner) hit the ball so far and straight with what seemed like no effort at all. Having played golf for almost 30 years and having received very good teaching I have managed to get down to a reasonable 8 handicap. I new if I wanted to go lower I needed to be able to hit the ball more consistently longer and straighter and so I ordered the DVD's.
Pros: I was hooked from the very first moment I started to watch the first DVD. Ignoring that some of the material was a bit repetitive and long winded, the explanation about how hand eye coordination is automatic if you don't stop it happening by thinking too much and the simplification of how the golf club is a misunderstood tool was simply amazing. I realised almost immediately that I had been releasing the club with a wrong hand action for over 30 years. For the first time I really understood how keeping the hands quiet and only use them to pronate the club head through the point of impact. Understanding how the mind works and how to use the golf club as a tool has transformed my game to another level in just a few weeks. Where I use to be happy to break 80 I am now disappointed if don't break 80 and I am hitting my driver consistently 30 to 40 meters longer and amazingly straight. I have noticed a similar improvement in my iron play and also my fairway woods. Indeed using his technique I can easily draw the ball with very little effort. His long game instructions are really too good to be true but it does not stop there. His instructions of how to simply chip dead by making simple calculations and using the simplest stoke of all have also knocked shots of my short game.
Cons: The only negative thing I can say about the DVD's is that they were a bit long winded and reparative but for the improvements they have made to my game I can forgive AJ for that. He comes across in the videos as a very happy man who is really delighted in revealing the "Truth about Golf" to us mere struggling amateurs.
Quality: The DVD recording is excellent quality.

Review Summary: Quite simply, this instructional series has transformed my game, taking it to a completely different level. All I can say is thanks a lot AJ for teaching me in a very short time the missing link. I have never enjoyed the game so much.

Purchase: Purchased off ebay for £60. The video is available for the same price from the Golf Channel but delivery takes forever!
Pros: A bit of history first: I have played golf for 10 yrs and am an habitual fader of the ball. I play off 19, can only hit a 5 iron for 150 yards, high and fading. I feel that I could play to about 12 regularly, if only I could get some consistency off the, as my second shot is always my best shot (you know what I mean). "The Truth About Golf" DVD set comprises three chapters, the first two of which go through a lot of theort, without any teaching, but to be honest if you don't watch the first two chapters (35mins each) then you will not understand part three of more importantly, believe it! If you adopt the attitude "I will believe wihtout question" I think you could just watch chapter three for 10 minutes and still do it just as well, but it is good to know why it works too! AJ Bonar is a charismatic chap who puts across everything in a very easy to understand way. He states his "truth" will give you what every good golf pro achieves, "distance without effort", together with improved accuracy and ball striking. When I had watched the DVD I went to the range knowing exactly what it was that I had to replicate. You don't even think about the swing, it's all to do with the wrist action and where you try to hit the ball. My first few shots were huge hooks, then a few pulled shots, which I could tell were going miles, and then slowly but surely as I got the timing, the shots with my irons were going either dead straight or slightly drawing (yippe!!) It was a little more difficult with the woods to get the timing right but it came pretty quickly. The ball on each club seemed to be going much further. The day after getting the DVD's I played in my father-in-laws club invitaion day (biggest comp. they have). I shot a net 61 off the whites and lost out to a net 59 (bloody bandits eh?). I can honestly say that had I known that each of my irons would be hitting 25-30 yards further then I wouldn't have overshot the first two greens scoring bogey! During this round I hit a PW with about 5 feet of backspin (yipee!!) and a deliberate draw with a 5 wood on a dog leg left hole. My iron striking was immense although I pulled a few longer irons about 5 yards left of where I wanted due to not quite getting the timing right. The free shortgame DVD is also very good and has helped me around the greens significantly. It advocates simple shots rather than fancy ones if you don't practice regularly, and the shots it shows are easy to apply and infallable. Also worthy of note, there was an aspect of the thoery that was very minor which I wished to clarify though I believed I understood it. I emailed AJgolf and had a reply from somebody purporting to be AJ within 2 hrs who confirmed my thoughts.
Cons: I love it because it worked for me. My ownly observation is that what is taught in the DVD appears too good to be true, which may persuade some people not to try it. You must try it! You will not have to learn a new swing, just a little wrist action that will not leave you playing crap golf for months till you get it right!
Quality: The DVD's were perfectly boxed in an AJ Golf branded box and arrived in perfect condition. The picture and sound quality is excellent and the DVD's have a very modern feel too the presentation.

Review Summary: Not another "build a perfect swing" video. You are taught a very small wrist action/mind picture at impact that you can hit consistently whether you have a good or bad grip, swing, posture or whatever. It has a money back guarantee (which you won't need) but the "truth" is so simple you might want to send the DVD's back once you have grasped it just because you are tight!

Purchase: Ordered online for $89 after seeing Infomercial. I purchased the DVDs.
Pros: I like AJ Bonar's concepts. He doesn't belabor about the grip (as some instructors will after pocketing your money), and I understood and agreed with everything he said in the video. When I went to the range and worked on my swing, things got immediately better, particularly in accuracy. Furthermore, the short game DVD was outstanding, and I've really taken strokes off my game.
Cons: For some, the Truth tape is going to be a bit long and involved. I like hearing about the physics and stuff, but some might not care so much. Also, despite claims in the infomercial, my distance has not improved at all (although my accuracy and shotmaking ability have).
Quality: The DVD is good quality video and sound. What AJ Bonar explains is what other instructors will talk about, but AJ's way of explaining it is (IMHO) better.

Review Summary: I recommend this series, especially to anyone who doesn't want to hear the same ol' stuff from other teachers. Using AJ's concepts has improved my game and lowered my scores.

Purchase: My game is very inconsistant and after watching an infomercial I became curious about his approach. The tape collection was $99.
Pros: Very simple rules to think about and you don't get caught up in a lot of swing thought stuff. I liked the thought process behind the instruction. As a whole, I probably got more out of the video than any lesson I ever had. Instructors spend too much time on the mechanics and not what the swing should feel like. This video helps you understand the feeling of the golf shot and doesn't mess with most of the swing mechanics you may already have.
Cons: The videos were too long and they don't really get to the point until the end. In addition, more focus should have been made on the actual swing dynamic that produces the desired results. That portion of the tape happened very quickly - like a magic trick. I was disappointed by that as a whole. Lastly, what he is teaching is all in Ben Hogan's Fundamentals of Golf book, but it's easier watching a video than it is reading the book.
Quality:

Review Summary: If you have been frustrated by golf lessons and just don't seem to ever improve your game, this video collection may be the thing for you. It will allow you to focus on very limited swing mechanic changes that may improve your game. I just had a problem with the price and the length of the series of videos.

Purchase: Purchased after viewing infomercial (for the 10th time), bought over internet, the total was about $110. 3 tapes, plus short game tape.
Pros: It works! I'm about a 7 handicap that has recently fought an outside-in swing. The technique cleared this up with my irons and fairway woods. I'm still fighting a fade with my driver, which turns into a rope hook when I try to use the techique. The short game tape was a "throw in" bonus, but it saved my sanity (I was going through wedge yips). The two techniques taught have improved my short game immensely and restored my confidence.
Cons: I wish it were on CD, rather than tape.
Quality: not applicable

Review Summary: The technique for the main swing, and 2 techniques for the short game, are simple to understand and adopt, most importantly they worked for me.

Purchase: I ordered this on the internet for $90. When I ordered it I was a 12 handicap & now I am a 8.5. Two years ago I had a slight draw and I slowly developed a fade that turned into a slice. I tried everything and could not get rid of it particuraly on a tight fairway. After much instruction I had not improved. I ordered the dvd and sat and watched it. The tape goes on for it seems like an eternity and tells what seems like nothing about how to improve your swing. then for about 10 min. it shows you what he says all the big hitters do at impact. I thought it was a big joke, but then I did about 20 min. of practice and tried to do what the tape said to do and my slice was gone and I was hitting the ball strait and long. I can even hit a draw when I want to. It is an easy consept to use. My son whatced it and said that it hlped him to understand when he makes a bad shot what he did wrong. The disk is quite entertaning and you are learning some things from the part that you think is just a waste of time. I am very happy with the overall results
Pros: I improved my swing with very little effort, and can analize what I am doing wrong when I do get into a rut.
Cons: After I watched the dvd I thought it wes a joke and almost did not try to do what it said to do.
Quality: good

Review Summary: Without embellishing I would say it helped me immensely. It has a 30 day guarantee I was ready to send it back until I tried it out. Now I am sold.
