Details: True Temper XL shafts with tacki grip grips

Purchase: I ordered the Acer 905 heads from Value Golf and the shafts and grips from Golfsmith.
Pros: I had been using pink I 3 oversize irons for five years which were great clubs. natually being great clubs I traded down to worse clubs etc. I decided to build myself come irons instead of invest another 800 bucks. I built the Acer 905's with the TT XL shafts and nice grips for less then 140 bucks. Let me promise you these are great clubs with a good feel for the head and at contact. They are suppose to be knockoffs of the Callaway X18. In the store the Callaway heads seemed heavier. I have never hit the X18. But these clubs are excellent with a solid feel and with these shafts a mid trajectory. The face of the clubs put a good spin on the ball.
Cons: Nothing wot is not to like they are a modern day Stainless steel iron head that looks great, feels great, and hits great and built of good quality for 7.50 a piece.
Quality: I did a good job.

Review Summary: I have used both clones and expensive name brands. Not all name brands are good clubs and some clones are great.
