On 2005-09-02, ronster rated this Adams GT2 10 Degree a 5...(6150)
Purchase: I bid or this on Ebay paid £50 what a steal. This club should be worth more. If this was Callaway, Nike ot taylormade would be more than £120. In a way I ma glad Adams is not a big name brand here like them but gives the same quality. I read reviews on this site and others and decided to buy it.
Pros: The forgiveness is excellent for someone like myself who slices alot. The sweet spot is very large which help.
But a good smooth swing with no real power can send the ball 220+ into the fairway. My local course is doglegs to the left mainly so the straigter the better. The pinging sound is very nice and impact you can feel. Very easy to control with the large 430cc head. I had been using a donnay evolution 12 degree which got for a fiver in a jumble sale but decided to buy a decent driver once i was breaking 100 regularly. Did alot of resaerch on it on sites and i am very happy with this.
Forget the big names unless you want to pay 30% extra for the name. Adams is a great golf company. I also have the idea I wood 2 iron and that is a great hybrid.
Am now looking at the GT2 undercut irons will let you know about them later.
Cons: Only gripe is the headcover fit is not good would have preffered either the long sleeve zip or sock type.
Quality: Solid costruction of the head real titanium, and nice grip. shaft is slighlty wippy if you swing fast but there is a stiif version also. Aesthetically it is a very nice looking club. fellow mgolfers have commented on it at the range and course.
Review Summary: Great value, good control and distance perfect for the mid to high handicapper. would recommend ADAMS gt2 driver to anyone.
Try it yourself.
