Details: 460 ti neutral driver with an aldila shaft.
Purchase: Dick's Sporting Goods had a sale and had this driver marked down to $79. I just couldn't pass it up at that price. I had been using a 400cc budget brand driver that left me short at about 200 yards.
Pros: I immediately started getting longer and straighter drives with this club. My friends, who are all more experienced golfers have made many comments about how straight my drives are. For $79 it seems too good to be true, but it is.
Cons: I don't have a spare one and dread the possibility of losing this very lucky club.
Quality: Lightly constructed, but not fragile. Nice sized grip and pleasant green Aldila shaft. Easy to use head cover; no sock, no zipper, no dangling plastic things on chains, no bear fuzz, just a nice simple slip on cover. Review Summary: Honestly, I've never had the pleasure of demoing a left-handed $300 Nike driver, so I may not be in driver Heaven yet because I haven't experienced better. But for less than $100 I'm getting nice, straight drives to the fairway and often matching the performance of more experienced golfers.

Details: this is an adams ovation 460 ti neutral driver with an aldila nv green 46' shaft.
Purchase: i got this club at dicks sporting goods for 99.99. i couldnt resist the price considering the shaft. i like the traditional look of the clubhead, but the shaft is what really sold me as i was looking for a 46' driver to add some distance and the aldila nv shaft fits my swing perfectly.
Pros: not much i dont like. the club looks great at setup, sounds nice (unlike some other adams clubs), and doesnt feel like its a 46' shaft. im in between a stiff and regular flex shaft, and this aldila shaft fits my game PERFECTLY. its mid-high kick point feels great and allows workability AND distance. ill keep my old driver (adams redline with 45' fujikara) for tight holes/courses, but im VERY pleased so far with the performance of the ovation.
Cons: obviously a 46' shaft takes some getting used to, so initially im not quite as accurate as i am with my old driver and i suspect it may stay that way. that said, i wasnt hitting my old driver 275+ yards either, so i wont complain about a SMALL loss of control.
Quality: i had a problem with construction of a previous adams club, though this one seems very well put together and plays accordingly. no complaints. Review Summary: bottom line is that anyone who is a little taller and doesnt mind a longer shaft should give this club a whirl. especially at that price. if youre like me and struggling with distance (driver clubhead speed under 100 mph), this club should help quite alot WITHOUT giving up too much control. great job adams!!
