Adams Ovation 460cc Golf Drivers - Reviews

Details: Stock Aldila stiff shaft, stock Adams rubber grip, 9.5 degrees, offset head. 9.5 degrees Stiff and Offset.

Purchase: Paid $120 on Fleabay. (rockbottom golf)
Pros: Great shaft, great looking, easy to align, big old shiny 460cc head. Grip is a bit slippy on a damp day, but I just bought two rain gloves for damp days so that solved that issue...Bought the offset to have an opposite to my fade/slice normal driver ;o) Now I have 2 drivers in my bag but I definitely favour this one unless the hole is such that you really, really definitely don't want to go left or is a big dog-leg right. I tonk it around 260 meters (285 yards) on a regular basis without any trouble or to be honest, any effort. Lovely sound at impact and the 9.5 gives a great trajectory if you tee it up right (i.e high)
Cons: Head cover is a bit tricky to get on the massive 460cc head (no zip)
Quality: Spot on so far. (1 year on) Tungsten weighting in the head also helps improve confidence if nothing else!! Grip could be better though I feel.

Review Summary: If you have a tendency to let the ball drift right (OK lets get real, if you banana slice the ball right) then the Adams Ovation 460 Offset Driver is a great club for you to try. Stock Aldila stiff shaft is, as always, a bonus to have (aerospace grade grahite etc...). Won't break the bank either and if Big Phil and me have 2 drivers in our bags why can't you!!!
