Purchase: I purchased these clubs slightly used off ebay. I had hit them at golfers clubhouse the weekend before and like them so when i looked on ebay and saw how cheap they were selling for i went for it. I won the set for $245.
Pros: I couldnt be happier with the irons. The 5 and 6 are weighted and balanced excellently and that contributes to VERY long shots, and the mid and high irons are very easy to control and aim. They are also on the heavy side wich i prefer.
Cons: i do regret getting the set that came with the 3 and 4 hybrid irons; these are the clubs that look like and iron/wood. Though they are sometimes good from the fairway i wish i got 3 and 4 irons instead, but that comes down to preference.
Quality: The quality so far seems strong and the clubs seem to be will made.

Review Summary: Any golfer who likes cavity back irons and has a decent handicap will do great with these irons. They feel great to swing and through contact and are worth the investment. I was considering callaway x-14's when i tested these and the Adams felt MUCH better.

Purchase: Looking for a miracle to ressurect my game, I prayed to the golf gods and was rewarded when they delivered the Adams Idea Irons. I found them on eBay for an economical $320.00 for the full set of 3 and 4 hybrid, 5-PW in Senior flex (I'm a little guy with a slow swing speed), and Winn oversize grips.
Pros: I feel like the lion in the Wizard of Oz. I now have the courage to hit the long irons thanks to the hyprid clubs. The get the ball up and out of any lie and my 3 iron distance has increased 20 yards. The short irons are just as easy to hit. They don't take huge divots, but still but the ball right where I want it to go. I can't say enough about the PW. I've used to chip in on average once every other round! I'm glad I decided on the Senior flex because of the ease of moving the ball and the soft, perfect grips--I think my girlfriend is jealous of them.
Cons: The only real issue I have is a distance gap between the 4 i-wood and the 5 iron. This can be solved by purchasing separately the 5 i-wood (if you have room in your bag), by taking a little off your 4 i-wood swing (if you don't mind guessing and having the ball roll a bit more) OR by placing the ball a bit more forward in your stance and getting it up with the 4 i-wood. I DO NOT reccomend powering up with the 5 iron because we all know what happens when we swing too hard.
Quality: The construction is great! Last season I played at least 40 rounds and the clubs look great after a good scrubbing.

Review Summary: These clubs really are great, especially for beginners or those who have difficulty with long irons. Try them and you'll see. Thank you Adams Golf.

Purchase: Purchased through Ebay auction from Golf Etail for $350 including shipping. Brand new set in factory wrappings, steel shafts, stiff (S300). I bought these irons based on hitting a comparable set and really love the feel and control.
Pros: These clubs are well balanced and weighted from top to bottom. The i-woods are a distinct advantage over normal 3 and 4 irons. They are easy to hit and exceptionally straight. I have gained 10-12 yards per club utilizing the same swing. Best club purchase I have ever made.
Cons: Nothing at all
Quality: Adams has done a great job of designing these clubs. The i-woods are sleek and mine get great reviews from others on the course. Well polished and easy to keep clean.

Review Summary: I have lowered my handicap from 15 to 11 since using these clubs. Recommend any mid handicapper in the iron market to try these.

Purchase: I bought my set of Adams Idea Irons at Martin's in Mytle Beach and paid $489.00 for them.
Pros: For a high handicap player like me, these clubs are nearly ideal. The hybrid 3 and 4 hybrid i-woods are clubs I can hit straight and for distance (for me). The 5,6, and 7 irons give me good loft and land softly. The 8, 9, and pitching wedge help me hit the green with greater consistency. The different irons have varying designs which enable a player to hit straighter and with greater loft. I love them. The Winn grips (which come with the senior shafts) have excellent feel.
Cons: I have not yet found anything I don't like about the clubs. I suspect, if I ever become good enough to be able to learn to shape my shots, these clubs would not do. They are designed to help a golfer hit straight, not to allow for fades and draws.
Quality: The Aldilla shafts and Winn grips are excellent. The clubs have a good weight and feel to them. They seem to be very solid, not quite as whippy as the Cobra Senior clubs I previously had.

Review Summary: I am hitting with greater confidence and my scores have been somewhat lower since I bought these clubs. It will take more time to know how much effect these clubs will have on my game. So far, I could not be happier.

Purchase: I had a set of Ping Zing irons stolen from my unlocked car in my own driveway about 4 months ago. Lessons: #1) lock the locks you already have #2) have or get a homeowner's insurance rider (personal articles policy) for your clubs...it is inexpensive and deductibles do not apply...it paid more than I could have gotten in resale market #3) remember like me you may well have as much tied up in accessories in your bag as you do in clubs #4) Do you actually KNOW the model of your driver, putter, and favorite wedge??...SN#s?? I researched some different brands and intended to get a fresh set of pings until I found out that: 1) Zings were a rare breed in their angular shape and therefore new pings would have a different "set up look"...that or track down some used Zings; and 2) the sticker price of a set of Pings would make Mistah T cry like a baby. I had intended all along to get the standard number of clubs in an iron set with the intent of dropping the 3 & 4 iron and adding an S and a L wedge...until I found out "they don"t sell them like that." Thats when I came across the Adam Idea irons with the hybrid fairway 3 and 4 irons with the quite delightful small high end condom type head covers. MSRP on the set was $600, and most of the houses on the net were listing them at $499. I made the long drive to Dallas to one of the 3 Golfsmiths they have there where you can hit the clubs (indoor mat) about as much as you want. I paid $500 with tax (aldila graphite shafts.). Later I ordered the S & L wedges for $59 ea plus shipping. I was not able to pre-request a grip other than what came on the clubs.
Pros: The clubs look good and the graphite shafts are light and impact forgiving. It is early in the season yet I feel I am hitting the clubs with appropriate distance. I got over the different "set up look" in just a few rounds. The small head covers are well made. The 3 and 4 irons will hit a more boring less high trajectory...for some this may take some adjustment. They hit well from the rough and PLUS they can be used just off the green for those awkward chips out of the cabbage. At a very reasonable price I am quite happy with these clubs and have no regrets about not going back to the expensive pings.
Cons: Slight complaint is that the numerals on the club are squatty squared off and if they get slightly dirty it is difficult for a moment to tell the 8 from the 5 from the 6. I wish all the manufacturers would place the other wedges "in the set"
Quality: Club head polish is nice, grips are nice and uniformity seems good. No constuction complaints after 10-12 rounds.

Review Summary: Good sticks for the money and I believe the hybrid iron concept will become more popular.
