On 2004-08-25, Stephan \"Baby Daly\" Gibson rated this Adams Tight Lies 2004 Model a 5...(4159)

Purchase: Bought these clubs from rockbottomgolf.com for a smashing $177. Before purchasing these clubs, I was using Ping ISI-K red dot irons. Though those were great irons and lasted me 4 years, once I picked these up, it was the soul mate for my golf game.
Pros: The best thing about these irons is the fact that they are FORGIVING. A word that is most sought out in the golf word would have to be that. Sometimes when you hit the ball, you dont even feel it. That is simply how forgiving they are. Ive never been able to hit long irons, but now it seems like I have no problem taking a 3-iron over a 5 or 7 wood any day.
Cons: Nothing to dislike. There are certain clubs for certain people's golf games. If Callaway is your thing and 1,000 bucks is pocket change, then have at it. Adams is the way to go if you've got a fast swing and normally work the ball from left to right. If you're tight with money like myself, dont save up for the expensive lower performing Titleist, Callaway, or TaylorMade.
Quality: The quality is great. After a few months with these clubs, I have yet to see the slightest mark from a ball on the face. With my pings, I was usually able to tell exactly where I hit the ball because it would leave a little pockmark whether it be from a pebble or what I dont know. These are well made and will last me for many years to come

Review Summary: This is the Bottom Line, if you're looking for irons that are forgiving all around and will help your game no matter what your style is, then Adams Tight Lies are the way to go. The Idea irons look intriguing, but if you are a person that wants to stay away from the extra bulk in your golf bag from the hybrid irons, these irons are the easiest to hit. Ive tried TaylorMade all the way to the most expensive Callaway's and there are no other clubs out there that could beat this. Give it a try, you'll know what I mean by saying all this.
