Purchase: Say these irons on eBay and maybe it's just my affinity for the unusual that made me buy them, but I just couldn't help myself. Paid about $150 for a brand new set.
Pros: I love the feel and the feedback I get from these irons. Solid hits feel effortless and mishits are rather forgiving. I've been getting pretty serious about improving my game, so I keep trying other game improvement irons, but I keep coming back to the aliens. They hit it straight.
Cons: Distance...plainly put. I get better distance with other comperable irons but the aliens make up for it in accuracy. I would rather be 10 yards short of the green than in the pond to the right. The OST shafts (kind of like Wilson Fat Shafts) contibute to the lack of distance but probably add to the control as well.
Quality: They are quite durable and I put them through some abuse with all the tree roots, hidden rocks and hardpan at our course. Only minor sole wear and the grooves are still in great shape after a year's worth of use (2 rounds per week on average).

Review Summary: I think these irons are great for game improvement. They feel good and hit it straight which is worth the slight loss in distance to me. And for the price your just not going to find a better starter/intermediate irons.
