On 2005-06-09, William Brown rated this Alpha C 830 9.5 Degree Driver a 5...(5630)

Purchase: I am a retired seventy three (73) year old avid golfer who has been playing golf since I was nine (9) years old. I am currently carrying an eight (8) handicap. I have been using irons and woods purchased from Bruce Dieterlen of RangerGolf.com for over the past ten (10) years. When he was in Tulsa, OK and now where he is located in Texas. I asked him to put me together the best driver and shaft combination for my physical capabilities that would give me long drives off the tee box. The cost was $ 310.00
Pros: This is a very attractive driver head and has given me the extra yardage off of the tee box that I need to keep up with the younger players that I often play with and puts me way out in front of the seniors that I play with.
Cons: I have no negative comments about the unit.
Quality: The driver head is an Alpha C 830 / 9.5 degrees with a 46 inch Aldila NVS 55-Stiff shaft with oversize (One over wrap) Lamkin grip. The unit has a very beautiful appearance and looks better than the Cobra drivers that are used in my group of golfers.

Review Summary: The following were comments that I made to Bruce Dieterlen of RangerGolf.com concerning the club he made for me after several rounds of golf: My new Alpha C830 / 9.5 degree driver head with an Aldila NVS 55-Stiff shaft has performed as predicted by you and the advertisement. It has added some 15 to 20 yards to my drives and I am out driving most of the much younger players that I play with weekly. For a seventy three (73) year old person to be able to hit the 275 to 290 yards still is very pleasing and makes me look forward to playing more often. When I play in my weekly senior's group, I'm always 20 to 30 yards in front of everyone. Thanks to RangerGolf.com for recommending the combination of club head and shaft that gives the best of performance for my physical makeup. I appreciate the head cover that you sent with the club, good advertisement for your club. William Brown / Tulsa, Oklahoma
