On 2006-03-06, Ian Marek rated this Alpha C830.2 a 5...(6703)

Details: 4 deg loft, mutant revolution (sk fiber)5 deg with Penley Pavletboth 50 innch and 4x flex

Purchase: directly from alpha rep $199. i wanted to hit the ball long . i purchased several at a long drive event. they're just good clubs
Pros: its long, hot, and LONG. nothing compares to the distance delivered by alpha products. this is the longest club available.you won understand how far the ball goes until you hit it for yourself.buy one NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: Nothing, unless you want to hit the ball short. kinda pricy, retails around 199 for component head, but you get what you pay for
Quality: cant beat it. alpha products are meticulussly crafted and withstand great forces (my swing speed is 135)

Review Summary: if you want to hit the ball farther and have more fun, hit an Alpha BEASTLY SAVAGE DISTANCE THE C830.2 is hot. want distance? get ALPHA ill say it alphas are the longest drivers on earth.

On 2006-01-21, Sapper rated this Alpha C830.2 a 4...(6618)

Details: C830.2 460cc, 9.5 deg stiff flex, Graffaloy shaft, oversized grip

Purchase: Played with a scratch golfer that had one and told me for the money you couldnt beat it.Did some research on the net. I joined FGI and looked at some of their custom sponsors. I purchased the driver online. Most front line OEM drivers AVG $300 with standard shafts. I purchased a custom driver for $220. The Graffaloy stiff plus shaft was frequency tuned also.
Pros: First off I love the value. Because Alpha is not very known yet or pay enormous amounts of money to PGA pros they can keep their prices down. For the dollar you cant beat this club.Solid sound when you connect and how far the ball goes!! Excellent weight and balance. Also the head has most of its volume in a vertical sense. For me this made a big difference in topping the or hitting under the ball when i tee it high. Because there is a large verticle sweet spot I can tee it hi and rip it. Even though i should probably take it easy for accuracy.
Cons: nothing, well because I am not consitent yet and cant throttle back the head has significant marks and scratches.
Quality: High quality at a great value. I have used it on the driving range daily and it hits just as hot as the first day.

Review Summary: This driver is equal or better than many high priced OEM drivers.Top Contender in REMAX long drive competitions. The ball trajectory is a little higher than most drivers of the same loft. If you purchase one drop a degree.

Purchase: Bought the head locally and assembled it myself. Paid $165 for the head and $59 for the shaft. The shaft is an Accuflex Assassin II, which I highly recommend.
Pros: This club is straight and forgiving, and is longer than any other I have tried. 240 yds or so, with my slow swing speed is excellent.
Cons: Nothing - it's straight, long, forgiving.
Quality: Seems fine.

Review Summary: Buy it!

Purchase: We have a club building and club repair shop at our teaching facility. I built this club for myself after talking with several of the national long drive contestants that practice at our facility.
Pros: The Alpha C830.2 is simply the best driver I've ever hit!!! As a PGA professional I have access to all the top equipment and test the latest offerings from all the major manufacturers, the C830.2 is longer and more forgiving than any of the big name drivers I've ever hit! Period!
Cons: Nothing
Quality: The C830.2 has been in my bag for over a year now and I've not had any problems of any kind.

Review Summary: More people need to know about this club!!! Except my fellow competitors.

On 2005-07-13, Forrest Wade rated this Alpha C830.2 a 5...(5848)

Purchase: I bought the components to build the driver myself after being fitted for a driver at Southern Golf Technologies in Pelham, Al. The Alpha Reaction driver head had the best feel of any driver head I've ever hit. I paid about $250 for the head shaft and grip and put it together myself.
Pros: This is not only the longest hitting driver I've ever played, but the most forgiving as well. I even get compliments from playing partners on tee shots that I feel I mishit. It is also a very consistent, so at least when I'm swinging badly, I know where my shots are going to go.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike about this driver.
Quality: This driver has a very good look at set-up and doesn't look like a bulky 460cc head. Quality product.

Review Summary: I have tried just about every driver out there and haven't found anything as good as this driver.

Purchase: Purchased the head on Ebay for $100. Purchased the shaft, a AJ Tech 4430 also new on Ebay for $50, a great deal on both. I built the stick myself.
Pros: This driver is very long and pretty forgiving. Did I mention that it is VERY long? :-) Nice balance, great quality in both the head and shaft.
Cons: The feel is a bit on the hard side, but not an issue with the length.....
Quality: Great quality

Review Summary: The C830.2 driver head is a keeper. It is now up there with my favorites. Worth the price, even at retail, if U want to go long with some consistency. I am not a long drive contest guy, I just play. This dog hunts.
